We stayed at this hotel in July, during the summer, and unfortunately, our experience wasn’t very comfortable. The biggest downside is the lack of air conditioning in the rooms. In such intense heat, the ceiling fans just don’t do the job — it’s nearly impossible to sleep at night because of the stuffiness. Sleeping in these conditions was truly a challenge.
The second major issue is the noise. The hotel is located near the water, and boats are constantly passing by with loud engines. At times, it feels like you’re staying next to an airport, not a peaceful island. It’s especially difficult at night — the boats run non-stop, and it sounds like you’re sleeping on a pier. This really takes away from the relaxing vibe one might expect from a nature getaway.
The third issue is the lack of hot water. The shower only had cold water — not even lukewarm. While this may not be a big deal for some in the heat, after a long day, it would’ve been nice to take a proper warm shower instead of freezing.
Now, onto the positives. The place itself is beautiful — it feels like a nature reserve. Monkeys, lizards, and birds roam around freely. The surroundings are lush, alive, and truly tropical. You really get that raw, natural jungle atmosphere.
The location is also great — within walking distance to shops, cafes, and the beach. It’s easy to find places to eat or pick up necessities nearby.
The staff were lovely — very friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. That part of our stay was definitely appreciated.
Overall, this hotel might work for those who don’t mind the heat, the lack of hot water, and the constant boat noise. But for us, these issues were significant, and after four nights, they definitely affected our overall experience. We really hope the hotel can improve by at least adding air conditioning and finding a way to reduce the noise — if so, this place could become a truly amazing...
Read moreI’m totally in love with it. Unfortunately I booked only one night as it was the only free slot, so I didn’t have the chance to stai long enough. The resort is just stunning with those bungalows in the middle of all this beautiful nature and the view is just breathtaking. Even if it was the hotel with less amenities and was the one that I liked the most. Service was perfect - polite, helpful and English-speaking. The room was spacious and well equipped (even only with ventilator and no air condition it was ok), with large veranda which great view. I was pleased with the fact that the provided anti-mosquito repellent not only for the room and veranda but also single doses for the body. Here is the moment to mention that there was no hot water in the room (something that I missed while reading the description and the reviews), but the cold one was warm enough to take a shower comfortably. The breakfast was good, you have few options to choose from and you also have some fruits, cereals and drinks available. The only cons that I have is the bed - it was quite small and uncomfortable (I couldn’t sleep well) and also the bungalow was not vary well isolated, so it was a bit noisy (the long tail boats are passing by till midnight), but in my eyes this is nothing compared to all pros that I can mention. Just to mention that there are several stairs to climb in order to reach the resort and then the bungalow, but they are large and comfortably set and if you don’t have any mobility limitations this is not an...
Read moreThe Good: Amazing price for what you get. The whole "resort" is very cool, with individual bungalows making it feel like you're in the jungle. There's also a nice porch to chill on with ok views. There is a mosquito net hanging around the bed. I used it each night, but only really noticed a couple mosquitos inside once. There is a free water refill station!! They are the only place in this island that seemed to offer this (only found one other on the west side for 10 baht/liter). There breakfast was surprisingly awesome. Some choices included omelets, pancakes, fresh fruit, bread, various toppings, sweets, and coffee/tea. For the price of a room, I expected a continental style breakfast at best, not food made to order.
The Bad: There's no AC, no hot water, it's far on the east side, and there's a loooot of stairs to climb. There's also a good amount of ants and mosquitos as another reviewer pointed out, granted... It's the jungle.
Other considerations: If you "can't even" with heat, then this is not the place for you. Having no AC was rough the first night, but after that, I acclimated to it quite easily. There's also a fan in the room which helped a ton. Granted I still would have preferred AC, but it's doable without. The "cold" water showers helped.
There was a lot of noise going on out here. Not sure if it was other guests, creatures of the night, or coconuts failing from trees, but things kept waking me up. So if you do stay,...
