Tree House Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Krabi Province

Upon entering, we opted to sit towards the back of the restaurant where there is actual tables and chairs. However, our lukewarm waitress didn’t feel the need to follow us to hand us our menus, instead opting to leave the menus on the table closest to her in the area in which we were sitting.

We ordered two “cocktails”, which were more a random amalgamation of the listed liquors rather than a refreshing beverage. We then ordered our food: one sweet and sour stir fry, and one Margherita pizza. The stir fry was ready in about 5 minutes, consisting of 4/5 slivers of chicken breast with assorted veg in an acidic liquid. Naturally, I decided to wait for my partner’s food to arrive. After 5 minutes, I called over the waitress from sitting at the bar who was busy watching something on her phone to see if it was on its way, to which the she reassured us that it was. Another 5 minutes passed, and I began to slowly pick at my food before it went cold. 15 more minutes passed with no sign of the pizza. We decided enough was enough, and asked our disinterested waitress to cancel the pizza and pay for the bill. The waitress passed us off to her colleague and walked away from us without asking why we were leaving or even apologise. We weren’t even angry at this point, It was quite frankly just extremely strange behaviour to us. We paid an exorbitant €13 for our two unfinished cocktails and sorry excuse for a stir fry and went on our merry way to attempt to have a real dining experience elsewhere. As we were leaving, we saw the pizza that my partner was meant to have, and let’s just say even if the pizza did come on time it wouldn’t have made things much better.

An extremely disappointing and odd experience overall. Don’t understand how this place has so many glowing reviews. This is my first time writing a review. I am not interested in a response or apology from the restaurant, rather I hope this review guides people away from this establishment to avoid wasting their precious time in such a beautiful location as...

I can only comment on the bar since we didn't arrive until late and just had a couple beers. Prices here, and in Railay in general, are a bit higher than what you might see in other parts of Thailand, but this bar was on par for Railay. There was a live musician that knew lots of fun songs. The treehouse environment upstairs is really fun and certainly unique. Definitely worth a visit for a drink to hang out. You also get to play neon Bingo Connect (let me Connect 4) right at your table! Great experience. Bathroom situation is not great though. A few doors down in a different bar with not much to speak of in terms of a ceiling. Bring your own...

This bar is lovely and cool, we had the advantage of a nice breeze. The views on offer are great, you get a calming feeling of being amongst the canopy of surrounding trees.

We ate food here which was fantastic (side note; food is actually prepared by Mom's Kitchen below this bar). It was all great tasting and of good quality. Definitely worth a visit for this alone.
