Stayed 3 night in Baan Yin Dee with very bad experience. Booking make through Agoda.
first night stayed at 2 x direct to pool suite rooms for family of 4. My 2 sons 12 & 14 years old.
2nd & 3rd nights booked for their biggest n only one Presidential suite with 2 bedrooms, living area n kitchen.
after checked in on 2nd day then found out that this Presidential suite only come with 1 shared toilet n it is in the master bedroom. Ridiculous right? It doesn’t make sense at all.
I d been to many different resorts and always wanted to stay in a 2 bedrooms villa or suite but never encountered short of toilet. Some villa even given 3 toilets for a 2 bedrooms villa/suite.
-purpose of choosing 2 bedrooms suite instead of adding extra bed is because we want to have own privacy, convenient room facilities and the space like living area for us to gather together.
-I went to meet the resort Mgr Mr Lucky, for me he is not a lucky guy to all the guest not only me. He is so unhelpful, arrogant, not professional on his job, no patience to me as the resort guest.
according to him they already provided the “shared toilet “ information to Agoda and Agoda is not indicated in their apps instead Agoda indicated this suite provides with “additional toilet” in the room details information side.
the resort mgr Mr Lucky asked to contact Agoda directly and he refused to help me. He only offered me change to lower graded suite which is where I stayed in for first night. Of course I had to request for the refund of what I paid. Presidential suite is double the price for 2 x pool suite. He refused to refund and asked me to get from Agoda directly.
I spent a lot of my holiday time to contact Agoda n arguing with the resort mgr. I managed to contact Agoda and Agoda called to Mr lucky on the spot to get the refund but he never want to compromise with Agoda. He straight rejected agoda’s request and told me wait for Agoda to reply me by email. After I got the replied fr Agoda and informed me that resort refused to refund that’s all. I had an argument with resort mgr and he don’t care and never put himself at their guest shoes at all and even raised his voice to me during argument. A very rude attitude and not professional at all. This is definitely not a 4 stars resort with this kind of service attitude to their guest.
-what I want is to get the refund for the price different in different suites. I never asked for any other compensation from the resort.
-very disappointed with Agoda. How can a booking agent giving wrong information to public. They make a mistake and I have to pay it?!
not matter how good their facilities is if a resort can’t keep their very basic rules of service to their guest and it will be all zero. Not even entitled for 1 star.
Others cons:- -very limited breakfast choice, only 3 sets for you to choose. Definitely not a buffet style.
-hot beverage choice only either black coffee or tea. No free cafe latte, cappuccino or espresso. If u want u have to pay for your cappuccino or etc.
-location is actually out of Patong town area but within Patong province. If u don’t have ur own transportation then u re in trouble.
-this resort is located exactly on the side of the main road where you can get the noise from the main road at night
the worst part is this resort without a gate or a main door. outsiders can easily enter to the resort or to your room directly. No security at all. We dare not leave our valuable things in our room even the safe locker provided in room.
Pros:- -other than the resort mgr Mr Lucky and the reception staff the rest of other staff in the restaurant n bellboys were friendly.
P/S: my advice is take your own risk if u still want to stay with...
Read moreThis hotel is outstanding!!! If I could give them 10 stars I would. From the moment we arrived until we left the hotel we were throughly looked after by all the staff. They were so pleasant and welcoming and every one the staff greeted us with a hello when we walked past them several times a day and also went above and beyond to help us when we needed anything or we needed to go somewhere. Myself and my husband stayed here for our 10th wedding anniversary, we searched for the perfect hotel in Thailand for about 6 months before we booked the Baan Yin Dee as we wanted something that had the traditional Thai ambience about it and somewhere that would be very memorable for our anniversary and we weren’t disappointed. Well this hotel certainly gave us all of that and more. From the moment we arrived the staff came out to our taxi to greet us and carry our bags to our room and gave us a nice cold towel and drink after our 17 hour flight from Scotland. When we arrived at our room (we received a free upgrade to a sea view room) it was beautifully decorated for our anniversary. It was a lovely surprise. The room was lovely and very spacious and had that very traditional Thai feel we were looking for. We loved our room, the shower is amazing and so is the deep bath with a waterfall tap. The hotel provide bath robes, flip flops and pool towels in each of the rooms. Each day after being out around Thailand we would come back to our room beautifully decorated swans on our bed with towels and flowers. It was such a personal touch. The breakfast every morning was plentiful and fit for a king, with a platter of pastries & fresh fruit, cereals then a full cooked breakfast, toast, tea/coffee. We also had dinner in the restaurant on quite a few occasions or we had room service and again this was beautiful. My favourite dish was Neou pad prik Thai dam (beef in black pepper sauce) simply amazing!!! The menu has a range of different foods, pizza, burgers, traditional Thai food, sandwiches. Something for everyone. The hotel managers came to our breakfast table on a few occasions to introduce themselves and ask if we were enjoying our stay and was there anything more they could do for us. The managers themselves were very approachable also, so if you did need anything they made you feel very welcome in asking for it. We told the manager that we had arranged a boat trip to phi phi islands the next morning and she organised a packed breakfast for myself and my husband as we were being picked up very early before breakfast. Which was a lovely touch. The hotel itself is just on the outskirts of patong, which is great as we didn’t want to be in the heart of a noisy town. We wanted somewhere which was within walking distance of a short journey away where we can easily get in and out of shops, bars, restaurants but have a nice relaxing, peaceful stay at our hotel. This hotel delivers all of that & more. You can walk down a steep hill for about 10/15minutes and you are in the heart of patong/patong beach and if you are fit enough you can walk back up the hill but if not a taxi or tuk tuk will take you up the hill. You don’t hear any of the nightlife of Patong from the hotel which is great as it is quite a lively place. I would recommend this hotel to couples or single people who are looking for a relaxing time with a 5 star service. You certainly won’t be disappointed in the Baan Yin dee resort. We’ve only just came home and already we can’t...
