I am staying here for my quarantine and will check out tommorow. This is my second and hopefully last quarantine stay, I choose this hotel because the one I stayed in before, in Bangkok, in this same budget 40k+ was not avalible and I need a good sized balcony with views. having this amazing sea view is just fantastic however here on the 5th floor, I am not sure about the other floors, we have connecting rooms, the one next to me has no balcony so they choose to place there's aircone unit on my balcony. on the floor facing my chair, and constantly making noice and blowing heat at me. There are covers for this on the market but not on this unit. Well I am engineer so I solved the problem to 80%. This stay I had no freetime outside nor had any cleaning or bedsheets changed. I cant blame the hotel for these idiot rules but I managed to change my towels. Bed is very good, bathtub with hot water, small kitchen, good work desk but a plastic covered chair is torture. Due to cool weather I never used the aircone in the nights just around lunchtime. The area outside is super quite and I will miss the view. Food is over average expect for the french fries, I taste one fry every day but they are absolutely dreadful and uneatbale. You get 3 choises of food for every meal. See attached menu, Internet is fast, and the staff is very fast to respond. Bring sizzors, a thin rope for your laundry, sizzors, a small knife and you are fine. I would give this...
Read moreDisappointed at the location it is not on the beach front and in fact is quite a long way from any beach. The hotel free shuttle to the main area is never working. The internet in the room is never working, the cable TV is never working, only Thai TV channels mainly news and shopping with some Thai sports mainly boxing. The restaurant was closed after breakfast. There is nothing less than about 12 to 15 minutes walk away I mean nothing. Security fencing from other hotels and building sites which makes the walk hot and boring. I ended up using Grab taxis most days which added considerably to the cost of my stay. Many families and the children seemed to be having a good time. But for a single solo traveller I didn't feel comfortable using the small swimming pool or any of the amenities because of the amount of children. On the plus side the room was big and the cleaner was excellent. The air con was good. I wish I had booked a seat view. My balcony did overlook the pool but also the rather ugly roof tops and back of nearby buildings. The water in the hotel both in the bathroom and even the fountain near reception stank I bought a bottle of perfume and sprayed everywhere, more added expense. I have been a regular visitor to the Pattaya area for more than thirty years. There are much better hotels near the beach with everything working at cheaper prices, in fact I moved to...
Read moreIts not the worst, nor is it the best. I am currently staying here at Best Bella for a 14 day mandatory quarantine per Thai government requirements. I am on day 4 and it hasn't been to bad, but this is coming from a guy that has worked and lived in Afghanistan for 11 years, I'm happy enough to have my own room with an internet connection.
There are rats crawling around the ceiling especially the restroom, it doesn't bother me but it might for others. There is a wonderful breeze that comes in from the ocean and I like turning off the AC and opening the balcony door. The problem with that is that it makes a whistling sound that can be heard down the hall way, and I'm pretty sure it wakes up the neighbors at night.
The room can be cleaned a bit more. I moved the furniture around to make space to workout and under it I found that it it has not been swept. I gauge the level of care a hotel takes when cleaning by checking behind the toilet, in this case Best Bella's maids need some remedial training.
All in all the place is okay, you're in Pattaya, your only going to be in your room 5-7 hours out of the day. The staff is great, location is great, you're able to get a songtow easily and Terminal 21 is across the street, the beach is 3 mins walk if you're into Pattaya beaches.
Would I recommend this...
