Prego Pattaya — Restaurant in Pattaya City

Prego Restaurant on Pattaya City Beach. It made a great impression even from the outside, in the Amari Hotel complex with its beautiful trees and ocean view. We arrived relatively early for dinner and wanted to leisurely enjoy the sunset. We were walk-in guests without a reservation and received a very friendly welcome. The restaurant has a modern design, with an integrated pizza station where you can watch the pizzaiolo conjure up delicious pizzas. After choosing our table, we were handed the menu, which offered a selection of excellent dishes. We then ordered starters and main courses, and of course, desserts. A huge compliment to the staff; everyone was very well trained, friendly, attentive, and prompt...refills were brought and cleared immediately, perfect. The choice of color-coordinated work clothes also matched the ambiance and interior of the restaurant. In short, I wouldn't say it was perfect, but everything was very, very good: the service, the food, the location, and the overall atmosphere. We had a great time and a reason to celebrate. We were treated to a good feeling and wonderful memories. What was great was that the manager (a nice Italian) came by our table and told us a bit about the Prego story, and we had a great conversation with him. Passing through Asia , I returned to a restraunt I had a meal years earlier.

The ambiance was unchanged with perfectly manicured grounds.

The restraunt had high ceilings with a magical pizza oven pumping out pizzas with exotic toppings. The smell of pizza cooking was wonderful.

I was greated by the manager ( som chai) which was friendly and claimed recognized me and told me he would assign me a special waitress since i was a returning customer.

My server ( Miss King) was pleasant and attentive and made me feel like a vip...... Another waitress stopped by and recommended a mushroom truffle soup. My waitress recommended her favorite italian food (Pizza) so i ordered a large pizza , half pepperoni and the other half cheese.

I was not disappointed.

Was a wonderful evening and dining experience with good food, great ambience and the staff which i felt wanted to serve me.

Special thanks to the manager which welcomed me like a vip and all the waitresses which i felt was attentative . My personal waitress ( King) was nice and truely made me feel like ordering more just to stay in the restraunt.

I hope to return in the near future and try other foods and get treated like an importaint customer.

We had our dinner during Christmas eve. We love the food, their tiramisu and pizza are the best! However, they should improve on how to treat their customers with well manner. From the beginning, one of their waitresses who assisted us was not smiling at all. We ordered 5 plates of tiramisu, but only 3 were served so we made a follow up. That same waitress looked at her watch and told us that they won’t take orders anymore as it’s beyond 10:30pm already. First, no one informed us about the cut off time of order. Second, we ordered before 10:30pm, we just did a follow up. So we insisted our point. The table near us were able to order whatever they want from another waiter during that same time. And we heard that they still accept drinks. And when we were about to order some drinks, another waitress told us that they no longer accept orders even drinks. It’s frustrating and unfair on our part that we are being forced to abide their rules that are not applicable to all customers. That means the team doesn’t have organized rules and management. Please talk to your team about this. The restaurant should have been a perfect and unforgettable Christmas dinner for us if only the staff treated us...
