My second year in a row in Pattaya, Thailand. Beautiful city/country where the locals are extremely polite and friendly. During my first visit to Thailand, I met a retired American vet who convinced me to eat atnthis little dive up the street from our hotel, The Courtyard by Marriott, North Pattaya. I'm really happy for this recommendation. The menu is very simple and extremely tastey. This time I had the minced pork with Basil and steamed rice. The portions were more than generous and the quality is excellent. Everything is made fresh on the spot and I can't reiterate enough of how great the taste was with Chang Classic beer washing it down. Looks like i found my permanent dinner spot that i can trust. This is a beautiful place to have dinner, very quiet, beautiful scenery and directly opposite the green park hotel I was staying in. The food was absolutely amazing! I had prawn rice and it was delicious 😋 the owners are also amazing, they are so polite (I think it is a mother and daughter) the mother give me some fruit for free to take away, the best oranges and bananas! Wir hatten ein fantastisches Abendessen im Charoen Restaurant in Pattaya. Die Speisen waren frisch, authentisch und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich: • 🥗 Som Tam mit Garnelen – perfekt abgestimmt zwischen süß, sauer und scharf. Die Garnelen waren frisch und saftig. • 🐟 Ganze frittierte Fisch mit Knoblauch – knusprig außen, zart innen. Der geröstete Knoblauch war ein Traum! • 🥬 Gebratener Morning Glory (Pak Boong) – knackig und aromatisch in einer würzigen Sojasauce. • 🍤 Gebratene Garnelen mit Knoblauch und Pfeffer – ein Klassiker, wunderbar umgesetzt. • 🍛 Rotes Curry mit Hähnchen und Gemüse – cremig, würzig und sehr aromatisch. • 🍚 Gedämpfter Jasminreis – schön fluffig und der perfekte Begleiter zu den Hauptgerichten. • 🍹 Mango-Smoothie – herrlich erfrischend!

Die Atmosphäre ist typisch thailändisch, sehr familiär und entspannt. Ein besonderer Hingucker war der süße, runde Hund des Hauses 🐶, der zufrieden in einer Ecke sein Futter genoss – ein Zeichen dafür, dass sich hier alle wohlfühlen.

Preis-Leistung ist top, die Portionen großzügig und der Service freundlich.
