Vedaa Indian Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Pattaya City

Had awful experience from this restaurant on June 5, 2024. First of all, even though our travel agent had already booked us a lunch there, the waiter standing outside made us wait for almost 10 minutes asking us our details. Our travel agent had to call them again and then the restaurant manager came and let us in. All this happened when we were the only guest in the restaurant during that time. Then when we went to the wash area, there was no water supply in the washrooms and toilets. When we informed the waiters regarding this, they told it will be mended soon. We washed our hands with the drinking water they provided. The food was served which was good and in adequate quantities. It was a preset menu. When we asked about the availability of water to use the restrooms, he told the issue has been solved and water is available. But to our dismay, it was not. Again we told them and they checked it and said water is now available when it was not. This repeated for two more times and then my husband raised his voice for the poor service we received. He then placed a bucket and mug in the wash area. This was when the restaurant manager came out and enquired the things. The manager was extremely rude as if we came to beg. He said, " for the amount we received, we have served you the food and no other facilities will be provided". This was the only bitter experience we had in our 5 day visit in Thailand. We were unsure as to whether go in to the restaurant, since it looks like it could seat at least 300 people and was completely empty. I ordered the ‘mixed vegetables’ which was described as being ‘boiled vegetables with Indian spices’. When my food arrived, it had cottage cheese grated on top, so I told the waiter that I can’t eat it (being vegan), and he argued with me saying that cottage cheese is a vegetable. I was there explaining to a grown man, how vegetables grow from the ground and cottage cheese comes from milk, which comes from cows. It took me arguing with him for a prolonged period of time, for him to change my food to something which matched the description (which was incredibly salty, but after waiting for so long, I ate it anyway). When our bill arrived, we were charged more for the drinks than was written on the menu and then was told that the menu showed an ‘old price’. Wouldn’t recommend dining here, it’s empty...
