The Wannara hotel is where we stayed during the Hau Hin Golf tournament 6-11 Sept 2020. I would rate it a 3-star hotel due to the fact it is old and needs upgrading. The furnishing is old, and the room does have a small refrigerator, which took a day before it got cold after cutting it on. There is only one facet in the bathroom sink. Cold water only. The shower was my best friend. The water was super hot. It was just what I needed in the morning to loosen your muscles up. The A/C needs replacing because I believe it is a one HAVAC system. It took a long time to cool the room. So I paid THB500 for the extra key, so it continues to work and cool the room when I left out. After playing all day in the sun, you don't want to come to your place and wait an hour or more to cool down. Once you check out and return the extra key, they return your money. It did have WiFi, but you need to have the staff show you how to connect when they give you the room key. It connects by zones first, and then you can connect the room. If you forget to ask them, call for assistance. They will send a staff member. The pool area and pool are great. I don't swim nor lay in the sun, but I am sure you would enjoy it for those that do. *Special note: Ensure the cleaning staff do not leave you balcony windows open. The monkeys can enter your room. Nobody mention this while we stayed there but don’t put anything pass the monkeys. The dining area and breakfast were excellent. It only cost THB150. Plus, there is no other place to get breakfast at 7 is in the morning. There is a Burger King within walking distance, but I am sure you will not get a full breakfast from them for THB150. There are only a few parking spaces, so first come, you don't have to find parking on the street nearby. The staff was amiable and will assist you when there was a concern. The hotel is within walking distance (1000 meters) to the beach, 7/11, restaurants, pharmacies, bars, and the Hilton. I can not say what it cost to stay because it was in the tournament package, but it can not cost a lot, and I would stay there again.

This was my second time staying at Wannara, and as before, the staff were a delight, always friendly, helpful, and smiling. Sadly, the hotel is beginning to show its age. My room's cleanliness left something to be desired: there was a dead cockroach when I arrived, and it remained there for my entire five-day stay. The bed sheets had a hole, small ants were present in the bathroom, and the towel hanger was loose, making it frustrating to hang towels after showering. On the bright side, the shower had fantastic water pressure, the hot water was truly hot, and the air conditioning kept the room comfortable. Breakfast was fine - it offered all the basics you'd expect, but nothing that stood out. One personal note: while marijuana use is legal in Thailand, I feel it's inappropriate for a hotel that had many families as guests to permit it. At times, the balcony a smelled strongly of it, which was unpleasant.

|The Wannara Hotel is simply a wonderful hotel and I highly recommend it to any travellers considering booking a room there. My arrival was somewhat emotional. I had been suffering from food poisoning in The Philippines and had tolerated some cheap uncomfortable hotels in both Manila and Bangkok and thus desperately needed some luxury. When I was given the key to my Wannara Hotel room and walked in I almost broke down in tears of joy and relief. I had an in an instant felt some emotional connection with my room. Sounds silly I accept but before me was a beautiful, cosy, clean and bright room with all the luxurious you would want. After all I had been through I really felt as if I had arrived in heaven. ||The love affair continued and I really could have happily have sat in my hotel room the entire week. The day I left I felt strangely reluctance to leave. So for sure the hotel feels like a real luxury safe haven. The facilities in the room were all excellent; safe, good shower pressure, large balcony, super comfy bed and a great TV system. I honestly felt some strange attachment to my room. Maybe it was the contrast with the horrors of my illness and previous dire accommodation. ||The hotel is well situated very close to the beach, the restaurants and the bar scene. You do not need a taxi to access any of this and even the famous night market is a short walk away. Once you are booked in to the hotel you really don’t need to use any public transport. In fact even the famous Hua Hin train station is within walking distance. |There is a small pool at the hotel, which I didn’t use but it looks good. Each morning I made use of the extensive breakfast buffet and the lovely smiling Thai chefs prepared my eggs with all the usual smile and giggles. The front desk staff offered all the help I needed regards any advice and recommendations and the lobby is full of books and magazines and comfy chairs to help you settle in. ||All round I really cannot fault this fantastic hotel. It gave me more than I expected and for sure I will be back and will have no hesitation booking in to The...

The hotel is in a good location and the staff were friendly and helpful, we had connecting rooms that were ideal for a family of 4. ||The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable, although certain things are a little dated such as the decor, and the bathrooms could also do with upgrading as the shower over the baths have seen better days.||The Wi-Fi is free and the speed is good, the only annoying thing was having to keep logging in every time you left and then came back to the hotel. ||The pool is OK but there is not much of an area to relax and there are only 4 or 5 sun loungers, it also feels like you are invading the privacy of the people who are staying on the ground floor next to the pool.||The hotel also has a car park which is handy if you hire a car, although it is not very big and can sometimes be full.||Overall it was an enjoyable stay and would probably stay there again in the future, the hotel is reasonably priced considering...
