Have booked this place via airbnb. Love the location about this beautiful place. It is situated in one of the most visited lane in Old Phuket Town. Beneath the place also resides a charming ice-cream business (Torry’s ice cream) to spend time chilling at. We were also given complimentary ice cream vouchers by Fonn to give it a try. ||We heard about the expensive taxis in Phuket as compared to other Thailand places and took a 100 baht airport bus (45min journey) that took us very near to this place. We dropped off shortly at Trick Eye Museum before the last stop at Bus Terminal and walked about 5-10minutes to reach there by foot.||What I love: |(1) The design, trinkets within the room, spacious place with balcony, luxe bath robes, clean and comfortable bed, beautiful kitchenware with complimentary coffee & tea, unique record player.||(2) Fonn and Nui were helpful and responsive. Nui, the helper, has been wonderful and kind, and though she understands little English, she tries her best to understand us and communicates back to Fonn.||(3) Awesome base to explore Old Phuket Town. Place is located seconds away to Thalang Road where the Sunday market also takes place. ||What I didn’t love: (not quite a big issue for me) |(1) They were sound related. The aircon sound were relatively loud and can be concerning for light sleepers. There is also bustling sound from Torry’s ice cream below.||(2) I fumbled with the 4 keys a while. Given that we are staying in a refurbished place in a Sino Portuguese shophouse, I had to get used to opening the doors differently at level 1 and level 2. Unique place comes with interesting challenges. ||Tip: Would suggest booking this place to coincide with Sunday market to make the best of...
Read moreThis place is located on top of an ice cream boutique, in a narrow side street from the market street, and a stone throw away from a nice temple. You'll have to cross the boutique and enter the room from the back-door.||||The room was nice, but could be cleaner… (which is my only critique of this place).||||We were also given some complimentary ice-cream vouchers for 2 1 scoop ice-cream, which was a nite touch. The room was roomy, and had a 80s feel to it, with a cassette/vinyl player :)||||On arrival, they had no power strip, which was an issue to connect a laptop (or anything), but they went and purchased one for us, thumbs up for the service.||||Since the ice-cream boutique is closed at nite, and Mondays, you'll have to open/close the boutique to get to your room (lock on the ground for the glass door, and a lock on the wooden door outside), not a big deal, but so that you know…||||Aside from the AC (pretty noisy), and the fact that bathrooms are outside (that is, on the same level, but there is no wall/window, the bathrooms/toilets opens to the outside, you are only separated from the street by a curtain), this place was nice. (I just wish the paid more attention to the cleaning, and it would have...
