I only write reviews for places that are outstanding and outrageous, believing that money should go to those who truly deserve it. Sukhothai Garden belongs to the former group of excellence. The BEST money that I spent at a hotel in Thailand in June 2017!
Location, quality, and price -- typically a traveler needs to sacrifice one of the three. But Sukhothai Garden excels in all three.
Location: minutes of walking to the bus station (Bangkok/Chiangmai) and entrance to the historical park. Free bikes. They encouraged us to bike to all locations even though I initially asked for a tuk-tuk.

Our room was up two, double, flights of stairs with no lift and no offer of assistance with mine, or my other half’s bag, alas i had broken my toe in KL and moving a weighty bag up so many stairs, and down again at the end of the holiday was challenging.
General quality of room fittings, the one shelf in the bathroom was almost falling off of the wall and it was hanging at a very acute angle.
Hardest bed in human history, it was like sleeping on a futon rather than a bed
No in room safe
No bedside usb ports for charging
Its a very Asian thing but the noise from the early hours, a local cockrell who started shouting at sun rise and early to late drumming from a...
Read moreNice family hotel in Sukhothai, in an excellent location to visit the Historical Park of Sukhothai. |I was in Sukhothai for the Loy Katrong Festival, I used to go to he Historical Park twice a day: to visit during the day, and at night for the festival. So it was very confortable to be able to just walk to the park anytime I liked. If you don’t want to walk to the park, you can use one of the hotel’s bike for free. There is a 7 eleven nearby and also the agency where the bus to Chiang Mai leaves.||I liked this familiar atmosphere of the hotel, they were always very nice, I felt at home. My special thanks to Joy and Jirath at the front desk, so so nice , kind and helpful !! ||Breakfast had many options , fruit, bread, eggs, little pancakes, and also Asian hot dishes. |I also enjoyed that during all day, there was coffee, snacks, fruit (bananas) and cup noodles available...
