Everytime I visit Bangkok, I always stay at Pratunam area for its location. This is my first time staying at this hotel, unfortunately with unpleasant experience. My suggestion is, if you are on a budget, choose the other budget hotel with lower price, but if you have extra budget, just choose the better place. When I checked in, the lady staff in the receptionist said she upgraded my room to junior suite (my pre-booked room is grand deluxe with twin bed). Believing the room will be better, I agreed. When I saw the room, it is not to my liking, in my opinion the so called junior suite is too cramped because of room separation (it has balcony and separate pantry) and there is only 1 queen bed. I called the receptionist and asking them to just give me my pre-booked room (I choose that room because I want spacious room). This time, the staff in the receptionist has changed to a man (MR. NONT), a rude one it is. As we said the room is smaller, he keeps on saying that it is only because the room separation etc. It’s not that I am being ungrateful for declining the ‘room upgrade’, I just don’t care about the size or the room separation, or whatever. It is just not to my liking and just give me my pre-booked room. I finally get the room that I want. Once I opened the door, the rude man called my room, saying that I have to pay extra charge for another person staying in the room because I only book for 2 persons while there are 3 persons staying. So I paid for additional 1 person and asking for extra bed. The rude man probably misunderstood me, he said he will tell the staff to set everything up for 3 persons, period. To my surprise, when I came back to the hotel, there is no extra bed. I called the receptionist, this time another different person, and she explained to me that the charge that I paid is only for extra additional 1 person, not included extra bed, if I want extra bed I need to pay THB200 more. This is what the rude man failed to explain to me. I finally choose not to add extra bed and my uncomfortable experience begin. The hotel is under renovation, I could hear the noise from the construction work, but usually at noon, when people are going out, so I don’t mind. What really bothers me a lot is the elevator. There are only 2 small elevators, I mean really small, with ripped carpet serving 29 floors. When there is a group of tourists coming, just imagine the queue. The hotel corridor has no air conditioner, also you could hear the noise from people outside. In the morning I feel bothered with the noise early in the morning when I’m still sleeping while people outside is so noisy. Everyday, after the housekeeping cleaned my room, the amenities are set for 2 only, I need to call the receptionist, every single day, asking to add for another person as I have paid for it. They don’t bother to take notes. During my stay, there is only 1 friendly staff, Mr. Andrew, he greets me nicely everytime, so I’m grateful for his friendly manner. The rest of the staff, just don’t bother being friendly at all. They just don’t care with your existence. At last, the final blow, when I checked out, I confront the rude man asking why he did not clearly explain to me about the extra bed thing. He insists that I misunderstood and the bed is already spacious enough for 2. Yes rude man, I misunderstood, because you DID NOT CLEARLY EXPLAIN to me and I have to get that information from the other staff. Besides, it is not you who decide the room or the bed is spacious enough or not. It is me who is staying and pay that decide if the room is good enough for me or not. So thank you for the halfhearted service and certainly will not...

My recent five-day stay at Centre Point Hotel Pratunam with a group of five people in two connecting family rooms left much to be desired. Despite the spacious rooms, our experience was marred by slow check-in, poor maintenance, and subpar cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Slow Check-In Process: The check-in process was needlessly slow, compounded by unnecessary hassles such as requiring contact with Agoda for a name change to match passport details. Passports reflecting all personal particulars were also handed over as a record keeping. Despite presenting evidence and login credentials, we were met with inflexibility and cold responses from the receptionist, citing hotel policy without consideration for common-sense concerns.
Maintenance Issues: Upon entering our rooms, we discovered a malfunctioning air conditioner in one of the rooms, necessitating a visit from a team of technicians with a trolley full of equipment. Despite being informed that the hotel was fully booked, no alternative room was offered and none of the staff bothered to follow up and check on the situation throughout the 5 days.
Inadequate Housekeeping: Housekeeping services were inadequate, with our rooms left untidy even by late afternoon as late as 4pm. Additionally, the request for fresh towels became a daily necessity however the fresh towels have been noted with bad stains and missing towels.
Poor Water Pressure and Temperature: The water pressure in the shower was abysmal, coupled with inconsistent warm temperatures that made basic tasks like showers difficult. The situation escalated to needing technician assistance mid-shower and insufficient slow flow.
Hygiene Concerns: Both bath and hand towels were visibly stained, shower curtains stained with mould patches adding to the discomfort and highlighting the lack of attention to cleanliness standards.
Environmental Issues: The overall environment was marred by dustiness and inadequate soundproofing, leading to disturbances from traffic noises despite being on the 26th floor, rooms 2606 and 2607.
Limited Power Sockets: Another inconvenience was the scarcity of power sockets in the rooms, with only two available. In today's digital age where guests rely heavily on electronic devices, such limited access to power sources was frustrating and impractical, hindering our ability to charge multiple devices simultaneously and adding to the discomfort of our stay.
In conclusion, despite hearing positive reviews about Centre Point Hotel Pratunam, our experience was disappointing and, at times, disgusting. The stale and moldy air quality, combined with outdated facilities, overshadowed any semblance of comfort. The newly refurbished reception lobby, while visually appealing, failed to mask the underlying issues of poor service and neglect of guest comfort.
Had it not been for the peak season due to Songkran and nearby hotels being fully booked, we would have sought accommodation elsewhere. It's a stark reminder that true hospitality lies not just in appearances but in genuine care and attention to guests' needs. Centre Point Hotel Pratunam has much room for improvement in providing a safe and comfortable stay...
Read moreStayed in the hotel for a day, and it's a bit of a mixed feeling.
First of all, the location is great. Just across December and Platinum mall. Just beside the hotel, there's a 7 eleven. Main street is always busy, so looking for food is not an issue.
There's a main entrance from the side and another smaller entrance on the main road that you can open with the key card or get lucky from the cleaning service or another hotel guest going out.
They offer 3 kinds of juice, around 8 different hot drinks, and some sweet snacks for children.
We booked the 2 Grand deluxe rooms for our family with 2 + 1 breakfast included in tiket.com app. When we checked in, it turns out the +1 breakfast is only for infant of 0-3 years old, and we need to pay 350 THB extra for our 10 years old daughter when we enter the restaurant in the morning. The charge for extra adult is 550 THB.
We had to deposit 1000 THB per room. During the check-in, I heard one of the guest stayed for a week and was charged 500 THB per room. Of course the guest was a bit upset that he had to deposit 10.000 THB to stay in the hotel.
After 2 p.m., our room is finally ready. We are amazed with the room. It's connecting rooms, very spacious, clean, have a big TV, 1 door big refrigerator, a microwave, japanese style bidet, and include 1 sofa bed. No complaints for the room.
We stayed in 21st floor, but since the hotel was under renovation, the sound was quite loud, and constantly on until 5 p.m. The lift were small and under renovation as well, although it can still be used. Minus 1 point on this part.
In the morning, we had our breakfast and paid 350 THB for our child. There's an access for wheelchair for our dad, but the food just so-so. Although they offer variety of food, including a lot of hot drinks variety, some of the food were on the sour side, so we couldn't eat some food.
For us, a 4 star hotel this expensive should have offer a better quality food. Minus 1 point for this.
We called and requested a late check-out at 1 p.m. for 1 room only, but the staff said 'sorry, we are fully booked, can not late check-out'.
We even mentioned that we have a senior using wheelchair and begged for 12.30 p.m. check-out, but still they didn't allow.
Even when it's fully booked, for sure they don't need 2 hours to clean up 1 room, right? For us, this is very disappointing. They're a 4 star hotel, but had a 1 star service. Minus 2 stars for this.
In the end, I don't recommend this hotel since it's too expensive, the food was average, and they're too strict with the check-out, even to a senior with a wheelchair.
I recommend the nearby hotel, Glow. They're also a 4 star hotel, far cheaper, but offered better food and service...
