I recently had the privilege of embarking on a 4 day Thai traditional massage course at Chivana Day Spa in Bangkok, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. Led by the skilled instructors Jiffy and Bua, and expertly translated by Amber, the course exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped into the serene ambiance of Chivana Day Spa, I knew I was in for something special. The instructors, Jiffy and Bua, exuded a profound understanding and passion for Thai massage, which they seamlessly imparted throughout the course. Their guidance was not only thorough but also infused with a genuine reverence for the ancient art form. What truly set this experience apart was the invaluable contribution of the translator, Amber. With her impeccable language skills and deep understanding of both Thai culture and massage techniques, she ensured that every concept and nuance was conveyed accurately, fostering a seamless learning environment for all participants. Throughout the course, I was amazed by the depth of knowledge and hands-on expertise demonstrated by Jiffy and Bua. They patiently guided me through each step of the massage sequence, emphasizing the importance of technique, intuition, and mindful presence. Their dedication to preserving the authenticity of Thai massage was truly inspiring, and I left the course feeling not only proficient but also deeply connected to this ancient healing tradition. Furthermore, the facilities at Chivana Day Spa were impeccable, providing a tranquil and supportive setting for learning and practice. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always on hand to assist, further enhancing the...
Read moreThis is by far the best massage experience I have ever had in Bangkok. They have very professional knowledge where your blockages are and genuinely wanting to help you release the knots and blockages.
We tried the 90 minutes back, neck and shoulders massage the first day as we work on the computers and phones all the time, I always feel the tiredness and the blockages around my back, shoulder blades, neck and head. They really tried very very hard to release the blockages. Then we booked another full body oil massage for the next day without any hesitation.
And once again, another excellent experience . We had the two hour oil massage, and since it was so good, then we decided to add another 30 minutes of foot massage.
We had some really bad massage experiences in some other places in Bangkok; let along the masseuses were basically touching you all over without any strength; on top of that, the masseuses were chatting to each other during the whole section. It felt like they were just having a nice time chatting to each other instead of giving the customers a massage. We felt so uncomfortable and really wanted to ask them to end the session early. So please make your choice wisely.
The owner lady speaks perfect English, and they have a masseuse that speaks fluent Chinese Mandarin as well, it makes communication so much easier.
I highly recommend this massage store for anyone, looking for a really good...
Read moreMe and my friend availed the foot and back massage because we are very tired all day thinking that a massage could help us relieve the tiredness in our body. Foot massage was okay. The back massage? Worst part. They did a different technique to us where in the walk on top of our back and also they just use their elbow to massage the back. We already said that please not to heavy because we feel pain instead of relaxation. We expected different. In other massage parlor, they use oil and gentle hands to massage the back but here, my friend got a trauma already it was really painful for us. Instead of relaxation we got stress. Now after the massage we both got body aches and fever. Never again. Very wrong massage technique even though we told not too hard, they kept on going and just laughed at us....
