This is a brand new hotel which located in China Town area, I booked through booking.com for 3 nights and after all the inconvinience circumstances, I decided to shorten my stay to 1 night only!||First of all, they advertised their hotel has an elevator, upon check in and after I have done with all the payment I just got to know that they dont have the elevator (basically the elevator hasn’t been installed yet!). Im having problem with my knee which required me to avoid the stairs cases.||Second, I had stated on my booking that I will be travelling alone and they gave me the room with twin bed, after I raised this issue, they prepared for me the room with king bed. Rooms still got many of stains on the floor!! ||Third, i had to wake up since they were doing the construction for 2 rooms which exactly beside of my room!!! And they never advised earlier that construction will be happening!||Fourth, breakfast was disgrace!! The hot foods like sausages and eggs, they didnt keep in the hot temperatures which is very dangerous due to food safety and hygiene reason! Even they didnt keep the yogurt chill and just left it at room temperature! ||I had contact the customer service from booking.com to cancel and request to waive the charge since this hotel has failed to deliver the “normal” Hotel standard operations. The customer service from booking.com has contacted the property several times and sent them email for waiving the cancellation fee but due to language barrier they couldn’t understand and they didnt even bother to reply the email!||Few minutes after (around 10:35AM) , the man who claimed himself as General Manager spoke to me and after I raised my concerns and I want to shorten my stay, he said that he will get back to me as soon as possible. Then i decided to go outside but before that, I put the signage to notify housekeeping to make up my room. ||When I was away from the property, no one contact me from the hotel, until I came back around 9:20PM. Spoke to receptionist about the matters and they dont have any clue!! They told me the General manager will come at 10 PM and they suggested me to go back to my room! ||Guess what, when I came back to my room, no one clean my room even the signage to make up the room still left outside!!! Very ridiculous!||I straight away booked another hotel meanwhile waiting the General Manager. 10PM i went downstairs and the reception told me that he will come after 20 minutes and finally he showed up at 10:35PM!!||After that, he told me he agreed to waive only 1 night, after I raised all the issues, including the false advertisement from theirside and dissapointment during my stay, he agreed to waive my remaining 2 nights stay in cash!!||Will I come back, definetely NOT! So I'm out after my 15 days... Quick run down for other wearying travellers!
Hotel isn't well organised in truth for ASQ. Guy was 30 mins late collecting me from airport (which really annoyed 3 airport security who were stuck babysitting me)
Dumped in front of hotel and took my case etc myself inside and met medical team. They checked my docs and told me room number then sent me on my way with bags.
Room isn't that big (considering it was supposed to be a junior suite) more like a standard room but with 2 single beds. Comfortable all the same.
AC was a nightmare as it did what it wanted no matter how much I tried... Sweating or freezing!
All Comms is via line with reception. First test day 5, second test day 12. (Had to chase results) The test area is outside infront of hotel which is a bit strange, getting the swab stuck in my nose whilst local taxi and strangers having a good look!
The rest area you are allowed to go to after 1st test is the same said area where test is done, few flower pots separating the highly contagious biohazard and the rest of the public.
Food.... Cutlery and plate provided in room with washing liquid and sponge. First day was terrible and really annoyed me. Joak with a fresh egg... Not what I would expect. Remaining meals were mainly Thai with the odd spaghetti Bolognese all served in plastic containers or bags like street food. No choice, get what your given. Food typically cold. Rice 3 times a day most days. For me I'm not too fussy but if you don't like like spicy Thai food then steer clear as you'll starve. No microwave in room There is a kettle but no tea / coffee / milk.
There is a menu for room service but all attempts to order I was advised "kitchen closed today".
My room was only serviced on day 13.
Check out was told to leave between 6-9am
Reception gave me 2 test results and certificate then I was free.
I booked here as it was only one available for my dates and I'm thankful to be here. But having seen other reviews I would say look at other options, 40k may not be top end but I saw much better for less on...
Read moreIt was our second time in Bangkok when we booked this hotel. We ordered a Grab taxi to the address of this hotel on Booking.com. When we arrived, there was no hotel there. Thinking there might’ve been a misunderstanding, we called the hotel to give us directions. The receptionist said we were in the wrong place and told us to walk for 1 km with our heavy suitcases. When we arrived to the new location, there was no hotel there either. Exhausted we called again and asked them to pick us up from a cafe to which the receptionist just HUNG UP!||||After running around for an hour frantically we finally found the hotel ourselves. When we arrived we wanted to speak to the manager, but the receptionist said he wasn’t here. Then they asked us to sign ridiculous documents stating that they wouldn’t be responsible for our personal losses from our room. We were too tired from all their unprofessionalism and just ended up going to our room.||||The room was very crammed. The bathroom had a constant horrible smell. Light switches didn’t not work. It was very noisy at night, people constantly talking loudly. ||Breakfast not included, yet there is a price list with every little thing 10 times the price it should be.||Unapologetic staff just wanted to charge more and talk less.
