What an amazing hotel! Before we even arrived we'd requested a room away from the main road as we'd seen a few other reviews saying it was a little noisy at night - they offered us a free upgrade to a triple room to accomodate this which we gladly accepted and had no problems with noise whatsoever. The room itself was huge, loved the loft design and the facilities were excellent. Double sinks over a huge mirror, two toilets and two showers all separated in four separate rooms, a clothes rack, fridge, desk area and smart TV. The showers were warm and really powerful and the mattress and pillows were really comfortable. The room was spotlessly clean on arrival and every time we requested it to be cleaned. The staff are so friendly, always welcomed you with a smile every time you saw them, and were happy to give advice about the city. There is free tea and coffee available all day in the reception area which has plenty of comfortable seating as well. While still fairly central, the hotel is not located in the most touristy area, but there is a metro station less than 5 minutes walk away which was great to get around the city with, and Bangkok Station is a few minutes beyond this which is also really handy if you are planning onward to travel to Chiang Mai like we did. There are still plenty of places for food and drink within a 15-20 minute walking distance though, including Chinatown. This may be the best value for money hotel I have ever visited, given the quality of our stay and the relatively low price paid, cannot...
Read moreStayed with sister in a twin bed room for 9 nights and the stay was totally worth it for the price we paid! Our room was clean and enough spacious. When we stay at a place in a budget, we try to look at the facilities the place provides and this place has nearly everything that we needed! There's washing machines and huge place to dry clothes on the roof, nice space downstairs with sofas to drink free coffee/tea and also a microwave, received two 600ml water bottles everyday, there's a spacious elevator, room service, refrigerator in room, hairdryer and toiletries. The staff are really friendly and speaks English as well. The location is close to MRT Hua Lamphong and Bangkok train station, around 10mins walking distance. There's also multiple bus stops and a 7 eleven at max 10 mins walking distance. Not a lot of restaurants nearby which wasn't an issue for us at all, because there was always food panda to deliver, 7 eleven or we just took the MRT to MRT Sukhumvit that is just at the foot of Terminal 21 complex where food is so cheap. We bought meals for 2/3 days at once, stored in our refrigerator and heated downstairs in the microwave when we wanted to eat 🙃. About the road noise that few people have commented about, yes there's some noise; but we didn't find it disturbing at all as we are used to it, also it kind of worked as a white noise for us and the noise reduces significantly at night. Would totally...
Read moreI LOVE this hostel! We stayed in 5 private rooms with twin beds and private bath and they were such a bargain. ||The positives:|1. The staff is wonderful! Honestly, they treated us like family and were helpful in so many ways. They bent over backwards to make sure we were happy and were so accommodating! ||2. The private rooms are clean and well maintained. Though twin beds may be uncomfortable for people over 6’ (182+cm) |and heavy set, we had no issues.||3. The location is pretty great. I feel it provides decent access to the city and is located in a relatively safe location. ||To be fair:|1. There is a water pump on the roof deck that is very loud and runs constantly. A few in our group complained about it causing disruption to their sleep. ||2. The breakfast options are limited. Don’t expect breakfast to be a buffet or anything like that. As long as you don’t expect a large breakfast set, you should be fine. ||3. The Wifi will sign you out only after a few moments after your phone locks causing you to constantly log back in. More annoying than anything. ||Overall, I LOVE REST24 and will only stay here from now on when visiting Bangkok. ||Thank...
