My friends and I were planning a bachelorette in Bangkok and we wanted one big night out at a cool Speakeasy. I found out about Find the Photobooth on Timeout magazine & was intrigued.
I messaged the venue's facebook to see if I could get a reservation, they replied to me not long after saying it was fine if I made one through them! The time difference really threw me off so I was impressed they would reply. I also let them know that we would show up at 10:30 because some of us would not be in the city yet and we wanted to make sure we all got there together. They said it's not normal for them to hold a reservation that late but because we were coming from Hong Kong & Vancouver, they would make an exception.
Come the night of our reservation, we got there right at 10:30 and were denied access. They said we were late (which we were not, we were right on time) and told us to have to wait till 6 people came out (the size of our party). There was no time frame of when we would actually get in! I showed the front of staff the Facebook conversation and they said they still wouldn't give us access, despite our exception.
Disappointed I messaged the facebook again explaining what had happened and they replied to me that morning with an apology & that if we still had time, to head back that day & first round of drinks would be on them. They said that "someone else pretended to be us and took our reservation" which simply just sounds like a white lie.
I explained to the FB-er that we had a packed day & we would be able to return the same time slot we had the night before - 10:30, the person simply read the message & ignored us.
Overall not a great experience for out of towners, I suggest the Rabbit Hole which is not too far & had a great selection of cocktails, whiskey, & so much more - staff was much more professional & was able to accommodate our large party easily &...

We visited this bar back in July 2024 and it seems like the menu has since changed! ✈️ 𝐀𝐢𝐫𝐛𝐮𝐬 - THB390 𝘏𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘬’𝘴 𝘎𝘪𝘯 | 𝘔𝘰𝘯𝘬𝘦𝘺 𝘚𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘦𝘳 | 𝘈𝘱𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘛𝘦𝘢 𝘚𝘺𝘳𝘶𝘱 | 𝘈𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘢 𝘊𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘳𝘺 | 𝘓𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘯 | 𝘌𝘨𝘨 𝘞𝘩𝘪𝘵𝘦 Their take on the classic Aviation, this was a fruity rendition that had notes of apple tea and cherry. Read moreOur original plan for the night was another bar, but with a closing time of 12mn, we found ourselves looking for alternatives. That's how we stumbled upon this speakeasy. Arriving a bit late at midnight, we unfortunately missed the live music, the band was just packing up as we entered.
Despite the missed performance, the night took a turn for the better. The drinks menu was themed around music, which was a fun touch.
My first sip of the Grasshopper was a delightful surprise – expertly crafted and bursting with flavor.
While the ambience was pleasant with nice decor, it wasn't spectacular. The service, however, was excellent. The waiters were attentive and genuinely eager to ensure we had a great experience.
Keep in mind that Bangkok's bar scene tends to have a pretty early closing time. 2am is the latest you'll find, with most places calling it a night around midnight. So, if you're looking for a late-night drink, factor that into your plans and start your evening a...
