The Stay Bosphorus — Hotel in Beşiktaş

Great location very attentive staff. Overall stay was good. We did have a mishap that was unpleasant especially for the cost of about $500 per night, but it all ended well.

We arrived at the hotel and they were very kind to let us check in early. I chose to reserve a room with jacuzzi on purpose to have a good time with my partner. Receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. Problem with room was it was in what they call Annex which is in a separate building attached to the main building. So bathroom had hot water running yellow as if the pipes had rust or something. They tried to fix it. For little bit it ran clear. They they had to replace the drain cover to be able to collect water in jacuzzi. Once they fixed I realized water to be yellow again. So called up reception to report the ongoing. Obviously, what had to start as romantic stay had not started well and frustration was there. When asked to return what we paid since we arranged stay at friends, managers offered stay at different bigger room for no charge. At first it felt suspicious since all the hotel gets water from same source. But when we went up there view was great - open view of bosphorus from Ortakoy district. Water was fine. Bathroom had retro style big bathtub and faucet it had was leaky. I showed the technician that. Other than that it was great room, great long balcony and great view of Bosphorus Bridge and the strait. Picturesque. Hotel need great deal of renovation and it seemed like poorly maintained. But we ended up having good time there. Thank you very much for the stay. Could have been better of these small technical issues had been taken care of...

This was our best stay in Istanbul ever!|Only positives to share:|- Best location due to the Ortaköy Pier in front of the door of The Stay. We just took the ferry to go to Eminönü, Karaköy etc. No tarffic query no nothing!|- Very friendly and supportive staff at reception, service and housekeeping!|- Beautiful breakfast hall with charming balcony just overlooking widely the Bosphorus; also nice, clean and very fresh breakfast. We loved having a Turkish coffee on this balcony and contemplating the coming and going on the Bosphorus.|- Comfortable, spacious suites with flat screen in living area as well as sleeping area, nice coffee and tea set in room, clean bathroom with many amenities. Doubled windows to protect from the nightly noise of Ortaköy place, which was quite enough for us. I have had much more noisy nights in Lizbone for instance!!!!|- And when we were tired after an incentive Istanbul day The House Cafe next door was absolutely best choice for a relaxing dinner, again with best views of charming Istanbul.|We recommend The Stay warmely and we surely...
