HOTEL ORKİDE — Hotel in Fatih

I do not recommend Hotel ORKİDE. The rooms in general were neat and were cleaned by a friendly cleaner on request. However, we noticed that there was a lot of mould behind the bed, so the room quickly took on an unpleasant smell without constant airing. Apart from that, the hotel owner and the receptionist are very unpleasant people. At the beginning, they wanted to sell us more than they had planned. This was because we only got this hotel as emergency accommodation, because our original hotel was flooded by heavy rain. The employee asked for the number from my friend (apparently on business). As a result, he wrote to us several times without being asked, complimented us and wanted toparty with us. Even when we politely declined, he insisted that this could remain our secret – and he just wanted to “have fun”. This made us as 18-year-old girls feel very uncomfortable. We didn’t get a bill for paying the hotel either, because we didn’t follow up on his wishes to go party with them. NO REGRET TO CHOOSE THIS HOTEL AS A SINGLE WOMAN TRAVLER. It has great location 10 ~20 minutes by walk to famous mosque and grand bazar.

I was so afraid of the bad reviews which I checked right before I arrived at hotel. I was kind of freaked until I arrived here. But the recepcionist was súper kind. he lifed my luggage up to the 4th floor(yes they dont have a elevator). And as an Asian woman, we have a stereotype that Turkey would be dangerous a little bit, But the zone where the hotel is located is súper safe. because there are literally more than 100 hotels or hostels around this zone, from the metro it takes 12 minutes by walk but its really safe until 3 o 4 am even in weekdays . a lot of people is out there on the street and all the restaurant around the hotel is open until 3am. I had a 3 o 4 hours night trip alone to the ayasofia and blue mosque by walk and ate kebab at 3 am. There were a Policers 24h, full of people and full of restaurant and bars out there. Bedroom and bathroom was clean. They offered shampoo And hair...

Worst Hotel ever. Very rude and unprofessional staff. They cheat and steal your money. They cancelled the reservation and gave us a dirty basement room for the same price. The room had the view of the bottom of street garbage. Like inside of a prison. When you complain, the owner and the manager become very rude and chased us away without a refund. AVOID! Qasim Raja (one of the reviewers from a year ago) put it perfectly. Everything he said was true regarding this illegal dungeon. It is true about that rude thief called Mr. Furqan. He is one of the rudest and cunning crooks I’ve ever come across. There is also another partner in crime called Mr. Ali. He is equally guilty. It is true that they steal your money openly and confidently!
