I stayed here for 3 months and can truly say that Social House's hospitality was unparalleled! From the moment I stepped foot into the establishment, I was greeted with an unwavering commitment to guest satisfaction that surpassed my expectations, outshining the service in many Western establishments.
The staff members were not only professional but also consistently attentive to my every need. Their proactivity and attentiveness truly created a comfortable environment that felt just like home. I was particularly impressed by their extraordinary dedication to fostering a respectful environment for all guests, demonstrating a level of hospitality that was as genuine as it was refreshing (especially because I was traveling alone and was far away from home and familiar faces). On top of that, their staff is made of the most friendly and personable people! SHOUTOUT to Mustafa - that man worked around the clock to make sure everything was perfect, while remaining so pleasant, warm, and accommodating throughout every request. THANK YOU!!!
Additionally, their entire staff's approach went beyond the standard duties of hospitality; they showcased a level of care that was deeply personal, always going the extra mile to ensure my comfort. Whether it was assistance with daily tasks or addressing my (often random) inquiries, they were always more than ready to help how I needed.
Another point worth mentioning is that the environment where I stayed was meticulously maintained, CLEAN, and modern. HUGE plus that makes all the difference when choosing a place to stay! Its aesthetic charm combined with the warmth of its staff turned a temporary stay into a memorable experience.
In sum, my extended stay at this hostel has been one of the most gratifying experiences I have had in my travels. The sincerity and professionalism exhibited by the staff, the nurturing environment, and the overall high-quality service and cleanliness truly sets this place apart. To any future guests, I guarantee that you will find more than just a place to stay here. Instead, you'll discover a welcoming home that will undoubtedly enrich your travel experience. Thank you/teşekkürler to everyone at Social House who made my stay incredibly memorable and comfortable!!! I hope to...
Read moreInitial my stay was for 6 days but due to a fault on their behalf I was given a lovely room which was temporary. The room smelt of mould the bathroom drainage had issues I am a disabled lady and climbing the stairs were difficult as the room was on the second floor. On the weds one of the staff said the room had to be vacant by 11am, considering I still had 3 days left of what were paid for. The staff member took me to the 3rd floor to show me the other room.. my niece did say my auntie is disabled,3rd floor is not suitable how will she walk, his response was “how do you walk” This left me crying on many occasions. He showed me the room No water Bottle no wash room, which meant me walking past rooms and the kitchen to access the toilet facilities. The room left me crying and feeling uneasy I left my stuff and walked out, in search of somewhere to to stay I left the room in immaculate condition just as I received it . Eventually I had found a property to stay for my remaining 3 days. Social house staff were ignorant unaccommodating, they let the money and did not offer my remaining money. They could not care less about disability or a persons feelings. Mohçhin was the only person that was cheerful polite and kind This was my first ever holiday and left a bad taste Please do your research prior to visiting Social house it’s not as...
Read moreAfter posting the following comment on the airbnb app, I was contacted by Social House a couple of months later & asked to remove the comment in exchange for a partial refund. It is against my ethics to do so, and instead I feel I must draw more attention to the problems I experienced during my stay.
An issue arose on our final day when I was harassed in the kitchen by another guest. More needs to be done to protect women from demanding men who don't respect personal space. I suggest putting signs to remind people to not bother women and understand that it is antisocial behaviour to pester women, turn nasty and threaten them. My own safety was compromised as I was blocked in a cupboard by this man trying to intimidate me. He told me if I didn't want to talk to him, I shouldn't book a hotel with a communal kitchen. The staff were aware of what was happening as they said they heard shouting and saw me shaking afterwards, but didn't even explain to the man he can't act like that. Only suggesting I talk to airbnb. The safety of guests is the responsibility of the hotel, not airbnb. I am very disappointed. I encourage women to be strong and establish boundaries with male guests. You don't owe anyone an...
