Stayed at this hotel from 22.10 to 29.10. We paid for a standard double room, according to the description from the hotel's website - "A quiet street of the historical Sultan Ahmet district can be seen from the windows of our rooms". In fact, we were placed in a quarantine room in the lobby near the reception. There are three such rooms there. Such an isolation ward without a window and with a wall instead of a view. Attempts to deal with the administrator were unsuccessful. At first, he said that there were no vacant rooms at all, then he said - come back in 2 days, then perhaps we will relocate. Further, our tour agent dealt with the hotel and, thanks to her, we were given another room, although we had to spend the night in the isolation ward. In the isolation ward there was: dirty and torn bed linen, the telephone connection was broken, there was a stand from the electric kettle without the kettle itself, in addition, all the noise from the reception was perfectly audible in this under-number. The new room was on the fifth floor with a window and this is where its advantages end. Water was dripping from the ceiling over the door to the bathroom, the reception was informed, but it kept dripping all the days that we were there, as a result, the door got wet and stopped closing. At the head of the bed, a socket was constantly beeping. The warm blanket was very dirty and stained. The safes in both rooms were not fixed either to the wall or to the shelf and it was unsafe to use them. Overall the rooms are very small with thin walls. The isolation ward near the lobby did not remain empty, other "lucky ones" were settled there. This, apparently, is the hotel's policy. If I didn’t know about the muddy scheme with the settlement of ordinary guests in the isolation ward, I would have tensed a lot, since people leave the quarantine room and calmly move around the hotel. The only thing that fits the description of this hotel is the restaurant - the breakfast was good and varied. The restaurant staff did their job clearly and discreetly, thanks to...
Read moreWarning: It is NOT a 4 stars hotel. The pictures are from time of their last renovations. I stay at this hotel with my wife for a two weeks vacation. It was not a good experience at all. I will never go back. The manager or owner (The tall guy at the lobby) charged me TEN DOLLARS ($10) for a hand towel upon my check out. He personally walk to my taxi and stop the taxi driver. How rude? and really a small hand towel cost $10 in Istanbul. He just want get extra money from a customer whom stay for three weeks. I pay $10 tips for one time meal. I made a big mistake to book this hotel through third-party website and I was not able to get refund. Pro: Walking distance to Blue Mosque and Grand Bazaar. Free breakfast buffet if stay for few days, but after three day it gets boring. Staff at the breakfast buffet were nice and helpful
Cons: Rooms and bathrooms are tiny. Rooms have no view. At day time going by taxi is almost impossible. I promised queen bed and we got two single beds. House keeping service awful. If you stay, make sure to check bed sheets and pillow covers. Noisy street below the hotel. Lobby's furniture are beat up, dirty and old. Beds are uncomfortable and sheets are old.
This is my recommendation for future guests. Stay away from this hotel, and find a nice hotel and make sure you can cancel your booking if you are not happy. If you walking-in to other hotel in the same area, you will get much better deals and...
