I am currently in Turkey on my honeymoon so forgive me for this long rant, I am very angry.||I originally emailed beach hotel nur about half a year ago to book their nicest room for my honeymoon. They replied asking for my phone number and immediately bombarded me with multiple videos of their rooms on whatsapp. I wish I could post a photo of our whatsapp exchange or their emails but TripAdvisor is not allowing me to post anything that has to do with text, it’s photos only.|Anyway, we are in Fethiye now, about to leave for Kas soon and the owner of the hotel where we’re staying advised us to call beach nur hotel and confirm since, according to him, a lot of hotels tend to rebook the booked rooms with higher prices when there’s demand, and simply cancel the cheaper booking. I was immediately alarmed since I asked if I can pay a deposit in order to reserve the room but was told that they prefer us to pay in cash on arrival, so really there was nothing holding our reservation, just their word. The owner of my hotel called them and sure enough my booking was gone!!! What’s even worse is that they made it seem that they have no clue who I am, never had any conversations with me and kept on saying that I must have contacted another hotel. Are you serious?!!! Only after I started yelling about the emails from their hotel (answered by Mehmet) and getting numerous confirmations and messages from 90 532 600 35 42 they finally admitted that my reservation was cancelled and has been booked by someone else so it’s no longer available for me…I was livid!! How is this even possible? And why book the room in the first place if they were not planning to honor the reservation???!! Is this a “just in case” until someone else comes along with the longer stay?! Honestly, I’m just speechless. This is completely unacceptable, I don’t understand how they are still in business. Read moreI just got off the phone with someone from this hotel. They called me on Whatsapp. I’m attaching a photo of the reservation that I made back in FEBRUARY!! I offered to pay a deposit ahead of time but was told that they want a payment in cash on arrival. I received numerous messages since February on Whatsapp so they were definitely aware that we’re coming. Imagine my surprise when I just sent them a message confirming, since we’re about to leave for Turkey, and received a phone call telling me that they cancelled my booking!!! They did give a run around about having covid and a new receptionist who made many mistakes with numerous bookings, but SERIOUSLY??!!! I never confirm my reservations, imagine if we just showed up??!! And I’m coming with my husband (we were going to celebrate his bday at this hotel and I’ve discussed custom cakes with the personnel!!!) and our daughter. They did offer another room for myself and my husband and a single room for my 16 year old…ARE YOU PEOPLE SERIOUS??!!! A 16 year old is a child! Here in the US she’s considered a minor! No way on earth I would let her sleep alone. Plus, who wants to split their family unnecessarily on vacation??!!|This is our first trip to Turkey, I’m getting anxiety thinking that this is what’s waiting for us! This place has definitely ruined it for me!|This hotel is a disgrace! Now I have to scramble at the last moment to find another hotel when prices have sky rocketed.|Do yourself a favor and book your stay at a reliable place....
