Meyde Boutique Suites — Hotel in Konyaaltı

This place is shabby at best. The photos on booking.com are very decieving. When i ask the manager about them he said oh they are 5yrs old. I stayed 1 nite and had to move. They said my room had a garden view and city view and a mountin view. U had to hang out the window to see the mountin. I didnt have any view at all. See the pics. The pool was disgusting. All dirty with the bottom full of leaves that had fallen into it had not been removed. I dnt no how this has got 8.5 on booking.com. U have to walk ages to try and find a shop. Its isnt to far from the beach but that doesnt compensate 4 your room. The t.v didnt have any english spkin channels( i find in turkey u at least get mtv n iv been 7 times to this country). We were that disappointed we stayed 1 nite n when we were leavin the manager sed, oh u checkin out. He didnt seem surprized at all. Normally i wud have expected him 2 say is there anythin i can do 4 u , but no, nothin. Steer clear from here. Its called boutique. There is nothin boutique about it. The maid doesnt come n clean or change your sheets. The towels were off white, practically grey where they have been washed n washed not very well either. No little treats to make it boutique at all. The only thing good about this place was the location close to the beach, restaurants and bars. The inside of the apartements were nothing like on the pictures. The walls were dirty, the sofa was full with stains, the curtains were about to fall down and the shower had loads of mold. Ontop of that we were promised an appartement suited for 4 people, yet we only had one kingsize bed and a sofa that was supposed to be big enough for two people...yet it literally always flipped over when two people tried to lay on it. After adressing the issue to the staff, we got an additional bed, even if in a very unfriendly way. Assuming it was mainly booked by families with younger kids or infants, it was very loud during the whole night. You had to endure kids screaming and the car noises from the street at the same time. Doors are extremely thin so you can hear everythyng that happens in reception. More than that receptionist likes to listen to music and you have to listen the same songs again and again whole the day. In general hotel looks new, but in details it slowly collapsing: some lights are already broken, led strip on the wall pills off, some decor details are missing, one of chairs is broken, walls are dirty. |And one more thing: I don't know how government regulators passed hotel where smoke detectors are covered with factory case. Its extremely unsafe to live in...
