Our experience at this hotel was unique. We are a quiet small family that travels frequently and rarely interacts with the hotel staff. As long as the service is good, we are happy. However, Adalya Port hotel was different.
We arrived early to our check in time. Bora, the manager of the hotel, welcomed us and gave us a quick tour in the old city till our the room is ready. We were surprised by the kindness of his attitude. Once we were in our room, a lady knocked and gave us a vase with flowers. What a beautiful welcome! Later on, we got to meet the "always" smiling Yasmin who was in charge of the fantastic and genuinely original restaurant. Always cheerful, always smiling, always kind. She talked with all the guests to ensure they are having a good time. Everyone in this hotel (yes, "everyone") tries their best to make this a lovely place, and indeed they did. You feel you are staying with a one big family. Adalya Port hotel is truly one of a kind!
As for the location, it is fantastic! You are literally on the marina. As for the room itself, we booked a suite and indeed it was well sized (a corridor, a large room separated in a living area and a bedroom, and a bathroom with jacuzzi). The building is very old, so you feel the history of the place in the design of the windows. The room is filled with beautiful welcoming touches, like the colorful sheets and the decoration used. The bed is very comfortable, as if the mattress is designed for deep sleeping.
The highlight of the stay is the breakfast. You start your day with an open buffet served to your table (literally). Every day there is a change in the plates, and many of them are authentic recipes that reflect the surrounding area. All is fresh and rich in taste. Hands down, this is the best breakfast that we ever had in a hotel before. There is so much creativity and care invested in designing this setup. Attached are pictures of the view from the restaurant and the served dishes.
Even though the hotel is located in the busy old city, it is far from the loud restaurants and pubs, so you enjoy a quiet sleep at night.
During our stay, there was kindness in our day-to-day interaction with our hosts. For example, once they knew we are heading for a walk in a sunny day, they brought us water bottles. Another example, during the busy breakfast time, they changed our tables once a better table became free next to the window. All of this done spontaneously and out of kindness.
On check out, it was like saying goodbye to friends. We left the hotel hoping to visit it again in the near future. When we will remember Antalya, we will immediately remember Yasmin, Bora, Mahir and all the kind people we met at Adalya Port hotel. For all of them, thank you for the...
Read moreI had a pleasant stay at Adalya Port Hotel. The hotel is in a convenient location—about a 2-minute walk from the marina and around a 10-minute walk uphill to the main bazaar. You can take a lift up to the main street level, but it can get busy, and you may have to wait up to 10 minutes. Alternatively, you can walk through the charming streets of Kaleiçi. The area around the hotel is relatively steep, so people with mobility issues may find it challenging. In some spots, the streets of Kaleiçi can be quite slippery, so watch your footing, especially when walking downhill.
The hotel is old and not particularly modern, but I personally didn’t mind that. The staff are friendly, and the breakfast—served to your table—is outstanding. Rooms are cleaned daily. All rooms open out onto the main atrium, which can be noisy when doors are being closed, especially in the morning if you're trying to sleep in. There is a noticeable smell of disinfectant upon entering the room, and I would have appreciated some ventilation, as the French doors in my room wouldn’t open.
It feels like a hotel for grown-ups, as I hardly saw any children staying there. The breakfast hall is located on the top floor, with views of the marina from some windows. During breakfast, the atmosphere is peaceful, which I personally love in the morning. There's also a really charming coffee shop just outside the main entrance that offers hotel guests a 10% discount.
I'm grateful to the staff for making our stay at the hotel very pleasant. If I’m ever in Kaleiçi again, I’ll definitely stay at...
Read moreMy wife and I stayed in the Adalya Port Hotel in Antalya for 6 nights during a 12 day holiday in Turkey.|The hotel is located in the old town overlooking the ancient harbour and as such, the streets are closed to traffic. We notified that hotel of our rental car registration number, which gave us access to the hotel and its secure car park. |We were greeted by Umut, who spoke excellent English and was very helpful. The other gentleman who also managed the reception area was Emre, who was also very helpful. |Our deluxe room was on the ground floor adjoining the entrance lobby, so the only stairs we had to climb were those up to the restaurant on the 4th floor. We preferred to use these instead of the lift, so as to get some exercise.|Our room was clean and comfortable with free Wi-Fi and a couple of English-speaking channels on the TV. The room had all the necessary facilities and provided free water every day. |The breakfast was served individually, rather than there being a buffet. It was far more that we wanted to eat so after a couple of day we soon worked out what we wanted and our excellent server not longer need telling what we wanted. There was also a fantastic view of the harbour out of the windows. |From the hotel, it was possible to walk to most parts of the old town in under 20 minutes. We found a good restaurant a two-minute walk from the hotel and ended up eating there every night. |Overall, a decent hotel near the centre of...
