Extremely Disappointing Stay – Would Never Recommend
I recently stayed at Oldies Hotel in Antalya Old Town and unfortunately, the experience was far from what I expected. From the moment we arrived, the service was unacceptable. When we politely asked to change the room due to its poor condition, we were shocked by the rude and aggressive response from the staff – they shouted at us, saying “this is the only room available and we cannot do anything about it.”
The noise levels at night were unbearable. It wasn’t just the surrounding bars; the hotel itself is built entirely of wood, which means you hear every footstep, conversation, and door creak – making it impossible to sleep. I didn’t get a single hour of proper rest throughout the stay.
The most frustrating incident happened after we left the “please clean the room” sign on the door and came back after a long day only to find the room untouched: dirty towels still wet, garbage bins full, and nothing cleaned. When we asked why, we were told “the staff is off today” – which is completely unprofessional and unacceptable in hospitality. I had to clean the room myself just to make it bearable to sleep in.
Additionally, despite informing them that I have a 6-year-old child, they placed us in a room that required climbing two huge, steep wooden stairs just to reach the child’s bed and the bathroom. This was not only inconvenient but seriously unsafe, especially for a child.
This was not a vacation – it felt more like a punishment. The combination of poor service, lack of cleanliness, constant noise, and unsafe design made this one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had.
I strongly urge Booking.com to reconsider listing this hotel or at least investigate the conditions. I would also request a refund, as this was absolutely not the...
Read moreI did a solo trip and picked this hotel mainly because of its proximity to Mermerli beach and the Ismetpasa tram station. Mermerli beach/restaurant is less than a 5 min walk, and Ismetpasa is less than 10 min walk. Swimming in the Mediterranean and being able to easily get to the airport were my biggest goals, so this hotel's location worked perfectly for that.
Beyond that, I stayed in the Azure room. This room has a balcony with a sea view. You can see both the cliffs and Konyalti Beach across the water, with the mountains behind it. The sunrise view from the balcony is amazing. I haven't seen the sunset view because I haven't been in my room around sunsets, but I'm assuming it's amazing too.
The hotel owners and staff are really helpful. It turned out that Mermerli beach was closed, but I got some great advice on where I can go and swim, and how I can get there. For any accommodation questions, Serdar was always available. Later I met Didam and Metin, and they're extremely helpful as well. Everyone's so super nice!

Read morePlease do not take this personally, as I agree that the hotel is clean and your approach is quite friendly. However, the loud music (until 4 a.m.!) prevented us from getting any rest for three nights in a row. Additionally, there were trash bins and a storage area for alcohol bottles right outside our window, where groups of loud partygoers gathered, shouting, playing drums, and making various noises. I cannot agree with your opinion that we should have spent the day in the hotel and the night outside. A hotel is supposed to provide paid accommodation services, and unfortunately, in this case, it was not possible to rest – the bed was literally shaking to the rhythm of the loud music and shouting. Moreover, as a customer, I decide how I want to spend the night. The presence of a loud nightclub nearby disqualifies this location, particularly the rooms facing the street, as a place to sleep. I am grateful to Booking for the compensation, as otherwise, I would have filed a complaint with the Turkish...
