This is as short and to the point as I can make it:
Livia is a magical bed and breakfast! The hosts are the most kind and welcoming, the environment they've created is the best in town. Everything is new, with beautiful contemporary Turkish decor. The showers are luxurious, huge, and properly partitioned, the AC is fully functional, the beds are the best we've slept in so far, and the minibar is fully stocked. If you're a westerner, this is equivalent to a 4-5 star hotel.
You will be very pleased with the amenities and their hospitality. The breakfast they make here is one of the best I've experienced in Turkey so far - everything was homemade and organic. The bakery next door came over and the host gave us pastries on top of the huge mezze of dishes. The location is hidden from main streets, so finding this secret gem made it even more satisfying!
AND, they have a kaplumba roaming the property!! (My favorite Turkish word is Kaplumba). I wish them the most success and will stay here again in the future trips to Ephesus Selçuk,...
Read moreOur family stayed with us for two nights in June. Several things struck me about the hotel, including its kind, happy, and well-mannered employees. They were all more than accommodating, and the service was top-notch. ||||My favorite aspect of this establishment is that it provides high school interns with an opportunity to gain experience in the tourism and hotel industries through training internships. ||||The hotel is also conveniently located near a number of wonderful restaurants and historical sites.||||The service was excellent and the room was spacious and clean. The staff were very friendly and there was always a sense of calm when you walked in. There are shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and other essentials waiting in the bathroom for you to use. A delicious breakfast is provided as part of the complimentary service. There was also a variety of homemade jams, olives, cheeses, fresh local products, olive oil, and omelets available, all of which were...
Read moreI was fortunate enough to find rooms available at this hotel. This was the best hotel I stayed at during my vacations in Turkey and that includes the Ritz Carlton in Istanbul. I suppose this hotel is impossible to book during high season. It is that good. The hospitality was above and beyond what I could imagine. One example: I asked if there was a pharmacy open to buy a certain medication. A few minutes later they were knocking at the door and bringing the medication without me asking for it.
The attention to detail reaches artistic details. From the breakfast to the decorations of the rooms (which includes works of art students). We stayed at two different rooms: Poseidon and the Artemis honeymoon suite which includes a jacuzzi (yep, you read right). And both are decorated according to their name. I also found ironic that Artemis is assigned to the honeymoon suite. So clever!
If I go back to Ephesus I’ll make sure to book this well in advance to make sure I...
