Had a great 5-night stay here in September (the island's slow period). I guess it depends on perspective, but I'm not sure you can really do better than the combination of service, comfort and seclusion these villas hit on. First of all, the staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful and we never felt unsafe in any way during the trip (whether at the villa or out and about).
For a very reasonable price, we got a clean, comfortable room with a wraparound porch overlooking lush tropical landscaping and just a couple of hundred yard walk from the almost private beach (private as in just the two of us) with beautiful and calm Caribbean water, as well as lounge chairs and umbrellas. The entire property was clean, fairly recently painted (it's white and blue now, not yellow) and maintained well (staff out every day cleaning and tending the grounds). We used both pools and had them all to ourselves most of the time (there was only one other couple staying at the entire property during our visit (I think 6 units total), another group came in our last night).
Good location unless you want the total tourist experience (not a good thing, imo). This is pretty much mid-island, right on Grace Bay and makes it easy to explore everything. There were a couple of good restaurants within 1/4 mile of us and many within a 10-minute drive (there are more in high season as some were closed during our visit...which is common in September).
The only way you'll be disappointed here is if you prefer to be around large groups of other tourists. We had access to everything on the island, including a great, great beach...without the crowds. If the Ritz-Carlton is 5-star, this might be rated a 3-star. But, again, it's all about perspective. I would choose what we had here over the Ritz 10...
Read moreI surprised my wife recently and celebrated her birthday in Feb 2020. I took 2 other couples down and we all stayed in Jacaranda Villa. We really had an amazing time and loved the place. It met all our expectations, true to the pictures and more importantly it MET our budget for T&C! Saved us money to celebrate at restaurants and take excursions. We didn't really mind not being right on the beach as it was really windy two of the days we were there. Loved being able to walk to the 5-6 restaurants and bars around the Marina nearby and being able to cook out by the pool out back was fantastic. There were other visitors there in other Villas while we were there so keep that in mind if you want to be "alone". Everyone was respectful and kept to themselves. They were social when you wanted them to be by the pool and beach, etc. We had a rental car so we took some of the provided beach chairs and went to the other side of the island when the wind didn't cooperate on Grace Bay. Didn't take advantage of the snorkels, bikes or kayaks as our trip wasn't long enough. We already booked for 2021 we loved it soooo much. This is one of our most favorite Caribbean islands and Grace Bay Ocean Villas was a big...
Read moreWe stayed in the Hibiscus Villa in May 2024 and we just went back in November 2024 and stayed in the Orchid Villa, both time we stayed for week. We love this place! Luz and her staff keep this place clean and the gardens looking good. They are all so friendly and nice. We go because of the beach, which is a short walk, there are chairs and umbrellas and the best views without being next to the resorts. We did the Hibiscus villas in may because we thought we would need an entire kitchen and fridge but the Orchid Villa did just nicely, we bought breakfast and lunch stuff from the IGA for an entire week both times and the Orchid villas was perfect for us. It has a large bathroom that resembles the Hibiscus villa and a large walk in closet with drawers and a place for you to hang clothes; along with an iron, safe and steamer. We got fresh beach towels everyday, and they made our bed and emptied the trash. This place is a great value, quiet at night and the gardens are so lush. You will need a car to get around the island and Grace bay car rentals is the way to go! We cannot wait to go back! See...
