Meh. This place is fine. I think it tries to create a nice ambience with its decor, worthy of a “date night” but it ends up lacking in attention to detail to make it so. I found the menu to be blasé, and there was no cocktail menu, which is bizarre for a place like this. And, upon asking for a drink menu I was told “this is a full bar, we can make you whatever you want” so I asked for a mojito and then the bartender says “oh well we don’t carry mint.” MMMKAY. That’s LITERALLY why I asked for a drink menu.
Additionally, I found the attention to detail in our food was lacking. There was an entire onion peel in my salad, which is 1. Inedible and 2. Luckily nothing I’m allergic to. Pizza was mediocre, also. But I’ve absolutely had worse.
Ambiance is here is beautiful, but I wasn’t impressed by the groups of locals who were coming in for triple shots at the bar and dropping loud as hell f bombs. Like, pretty sure people aren’t dressed up for dinner on vacation to deal with people being mad OD belligerent at the bar. Owner/manager should’ve cut them off and sent them packing.
Overall, I’d give it another shot, as long as I had a dedicated table outside for my reservation so I didn’t get stuck inside near the bar. And, let’s hope the food slip ups are one time mistakes... since onion peel in a salad makes me super concerned for what other kind of food/cleanliness violations are...
Read moreIt was okay. Someone said that it is “quite good on a worldwide level” so I had high expectations. I’m not stuck up or high class, but I’ve eaten good food in different cities and this place was average. The atmosphere is beautiful, and my three stars doesn’t mean I wouldn’t return! It is just an honest review. It is a 3 star restaurant. The garlic bread was average to below average, I didn’t quite understand the the hype. My girlfriend enjoyed her pasta with lobster sauce, but we’ve had better and expected more. My first time at an Italian restaurant I ALWAYS order chicken Parmesan even though it’s not the fanciest of dishes. It’s a good marker for their ability to cook Italian, in my opinion. When it came out, it had roasted veggies and scalloped potatoes as the sides WITH NO PASTA. That is egregious. If it had said that on the menu, I would have been less upset. All that said, don’t let this stop you from enjoying their cuisine and atmosphere. Being on the water is great and it is very laid back with good service, just don’t expect to be blown away. Also, the prices are normal and I didn’t feel like I spent too much. Just wanted to clarify as some reviews said it was pricey. The island is pricey! I’m not rich, but I expected to pay what I did and I wasn’t upset. Once again, chicken Parmesan should be...
Read moreWe visited Baci's three times on our vacation. We had their seafood special the first time. We had their pizza the second time. And the third time we just stopped by for cocktails. Every experience was fantastic. The servers were professional, yet maintained a sense of candor and made the experience enjoyable. The food was top notch. In fact, I don't think I have ever enjoyed pizza more in my life. Seriously loved their pizza. The owner has drive! He is buzzing around the restaurant in a speedy, but courteous fashion making sure everyone is being taken care of. I was seriously so impressed with his work ethic, that it made me proud to support his place. He took time out to talk to me for a moment, and to take a photo of my wife and I for our 20th anniversary. And then he was back to the hustle and bustle. Make sure to visit this place on your vacation,...
