Administrators are stealing money from guests, and the manager doesn't care... I stayed here few nights and eventually decided to go to another hostel.||||For the first 4 nights, my daily price was constant with a bit of discount. On the 5th night, Nastya the new administrator came. The price was increased by 50 UAH, she said. Even though I had a discount earlier, Nastya increased the price to 260 UAH. That was even higher than the official hostel's price. Due to market conditions, the price increased, she said (though there was no overbooking or significant booking increase). Also I found later that prices of the hostel are constant at that period of time and nobody changed them "due to market conditions".||||Than I gave my bank card to Nastya. She was disappointed and asked me to pay cash. She explained, administrators need cash to pay for delivery of hostel inventory (like toilet paper etc). Later I found that it is merely not true.||||All of that was weird to me and I decided to pay for the booking on the next day. The next morning, I asked the administrator to talk to the manager. We agreed, that I leave my phone number and the manager will call me back.||||Eventually nobody called me. In the evening, I asked the administrator to talk to the manager again. "The manager is busy" to talk to me, the administrator responded.||||For me it is obvious that administrators are committing fraud and stealing money from guests. They take advantage of those who stay only for couple or few days, because short term guests are not aware of the whole process. While amount of money is not huge, it is absolutely not acceptable that: 1) guests suffer from that theft; 2) the manager tolerates the fraud. Following the same process, next time the administrator will steal guest's valuable belongings and the manager will...
Read moreI am in hostel for a few days now, i REGRET it. ||I hope owners and managers will read it and will try to fix problems.||||POSITIVE:||1. location||2.hosts Peter and Maria are very helpful , polite, and fit into customer service international standards||3. sheets are reasonably clean. ||||NEGATIVE:||1. 99% of tenants are local young people using hostel as permanent living accommodation and behaving accordingly as if they are home and travelers are poor visitors in their home. They behave as if travelers owed them something . Feels Extreme Discomfort. ( I understand their language and understand their conversations)||||2. NO SOUND REGULATIONS. Local young people partying day and night , there is no rest no sleep just party, party, party day and nights. NO rest, NO sleep there. SOUND ECHOING in hostel as if all is happening in one room.||||3. Host Max partying with young people together and NEVER at his desk . Max is partying and "socializing " at rooms of local permanent tenants and having fun.||||4. KITCHEN SINK IS DISGUSTING during host Max shift ! Think twice before using dishes. During host Max shift , kitchen was not usable, sink is dirty and full of dirty dishes "swimming " in dirty water almost to the top of the sink .||||5. BRIDGE OF PRIVACY . My language is English, but I am fluent in both Ukrainian and Russian languages and I can hear comments on travelers from permanent tenants based on private information given by the employee-host. Looks like Host-employee was discussing foreign travelers private information with local...
Read moreDear customers, please avoid this hostel due to the lack of common sense and poor management. My mother was staying at this hostel on 6/26/2016. She is an old lady and really needed some sleep before her transatlantic flight. the first problem, when she was booking this hostel, she was warned that rooms were coed. second, once she went to sleep one of the guys was such a load snorer, she politely asked the guy to maybe lay on his other side because noone else could sleep. in response he (30 y.o american guy) HIT HER AND DID THIS AGAIN ONCE SHE WENT BACK TO SLEEP. then he shook her bed in the next 30 min. once she went to ask for some help from the reception - they didnt address the violence, they actually gave a better accommodation to this guy who physically hit my mother. I can understand that maybe for them - foreigners bring more money than locals, and I am outraged with their choices - i think i would have called the police! and believe me maybe she should have gone to the receptionist better - to let the management tell the guy he was bothering his roommates. HOWEVER THERE IS NO EXCUSES FOR TOLERATING VIOLENCE FROM THE BETTER PAYING...
