If you like plastic international chain hotels, this is not for you.||If you like bars and lounges, this is not for you.||If you like quiet, small (14 rooms) individual hotels with comfortable rooms, good breakfasts and excellent locations, read on.||||The hotel is excellently situated for Podol which is the old but recently refurbished artisans' district of Kiev, home to Bulgakov and many others. Close to many museums, the University excellent restaurants, street markets, arts and crafts shops, embassies and numerous attractions.||||The rooms are clean and adequate, reasonable bathrooms, well air conditioned and good WiFi. Only one TV programme in English and no BBC or CNN which is a pity.||Some of the staff are outstanding, others less so but all are helpful and altogether this makes for a very comfortable and well priced stay.||||No lounge or bar but then who would want to sit in a hotel when there is so much else five minutes walk away. And last but not least, rooms are not soundproof at all. We had noisy neughbours, so not much sleep during all 3 nights. Otherwise, value for money on a quite, renovated and safe street (couple of embassies in the...

The lady that cook is really nice and a great cooker!||The room was clean and the toilets too. The people in the desk did not speak english at all (any of them) so they could not explain places to eat or where to go, but they provided us with a map.||The location of the hotel is good and they cleaned the...
