Hotel is in the old building, wich is dated back to the time when Lviv was a part of Austrian Empire. Staff is friendly and professional. Reception desk speaks English. Hotel is well located, a few blocks from tourist area / city center . Building is very old with high ceilings and wide hallways. We had the "family room" with three single beds, two were pushed together to make a king bed. The room is fairly large with a balcony, a table, four chairs, and a wardrobe cabinet. The large bathroom has a tub with a hand shower with curtain, a toilet, and a sink. There was a small refrigerator. Heating was good for sleep since it was pretty chill in the room. Breakfast comes with the room. It's okay, decent selection, but you can find better in Lviv. Restaurant has an excellent service though. Price / value is Ok if you are into Imperial...

Worst hotel ever. Not even Hostel quality.

I was unfortunate enough to think this was a hotel. It was a cheap dive and bar. I was lucky enough to book New Year's Eve. They cleaned up for the party. They had an awesome sound system.

But, by 5 AM, I finally went down the street to the Grand Hotel and got a real room without the blaring NOISE and rude staff. How anyone can rate this in the same rating range as the Grand?

The room at the George was dirty - I have been in two worse rooms in my life. AND the Hostel across the street was cleaner - I checked it the next day. I was 5 stories above the 'party.' And the staff just kept lying to me all night about when they would let me get some sleep.

I went down the street to the Grand. They pointed me at a great restaurant. And I came back and got a nap - enough to keep going the...

Stayed for three nights in early January. Staff is friendly and professional. Reception desk speaks English. Hotel is well located, a few blocks from tourist area. Hotel is very old, high ceilings and wide hallways. We had the "family room" with three single beds, two were pushed together to make a king bed. The room is fairly large with a balcony, a table and four chairs, and a wardrobe cabinet. The large bathroom has a tub with a hand shower (no curtain), a toilet, and a sink. There is no refrigerator, though we chilled beer on the balcony as it was near zero (Fahrenheit) outside.

Breakfast comes with the room. It's okay, decent selection, certainly on par with many chain hotels in the states.

I would stay here again. Edit: compared to our hotel in Kiev, in a similar price range, this place is...

I would NOT RECOMMEND this hotel!!!! The money I’ve been charged doesn’t match the service has been provided. No refurbishment, website has not been updated with latest changes due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, staff wasn’t helpful. Example: on the web site it said that restaurant is open 7am-12pm, on the reception the lady said that kitchen is close at 9pm but at 8:15pm when we made a call to a restaurant to order dinner member of staff said that kitchen closed and the chef needs to go home. The Champaign has been served without ice considering triple price per bottle, etc, etc, etc. Breakfast was horrible!!!

I was not a guest at the hotel, but I did photography for an event organised here. The conference amenities are great, the large dining hall is spacious and has perfect natural lighting due to partly transparent ceiling. Coffee breaks are organised in the so called "blue" and "red" rooms on the second floor. You can feel that the place is historic, no wonder it's one of the first hotels in Ukraine. However, some renovation would be appropriate. Manager Olesya and all of the hotel staff have been very polite and helpful.
