Hotel Plazma — Hotel in Lviv Urban Hromada

I arrived here with three male friends on a stag weekend (not a raucous twenty somethings but all now in our 50s). The access looks a little worrying and not too pleasant through a run down arcade and up some run down stairs where the concrete stair nosings are worn and spalled. It is up 4 flights of stairs, so if you have difficulty with steps, be warned, this may not be for you (hence the title) no lifts.||When you enter the actual hotel there is a small reception hosted 24 hours a day and we met the very sweet Anna who gave us the keys to our rooms. In the rooms it was lovely; each room had something special. I had an enormous blue-tiled bathroom, one of our group had a balcony, one had a really large and lovely room and one a table and chairs. Plenty of space, clean, lovely bathrooms including toilet, bidet, sink and large bath with shower attachment for me. Toilet role is a bit sparse (take some nicer stuff with you!). there was no hot water the afternoon I arrived but there was the next morning.||In the rooms the overall impression and feel is lovely with lots of little extras: shoe-shine, towels, tv, kettle, iron and ironing board, glasses and cups, hair drier etc. However, some of the joins of wallpaper were peeling apart. The furniture is a little "MFI" but all in good shape. ||Breakfast was basic but fine: a couple of bain-maries with scrambled egg, bacon, sausage (frankfurteish rather than English meat style), there's also honey, jam, coffee, squash / juice, cold meats, cheese, croissants, bread and buns, milk and teas and some cereals.||Overall I loved this hotel, it was right in the thick of things and a couple of hundred metres walk to the main square. It all felt very safe and very friendly. No smoking in rooms but you could go out to the balcony. Locals also stay here...

Pros: Location, location, location. It’s a 5-minute walk to Rynok Square. Location is on the 4th floor of a building (no lift) so it’s very quiet as well above the street noise and many rooms face an inner courtyard rather than the street. My room- 29- was huge as was the bathroom. Closet space and dresser. Heating worked well the second night (was broken on check-in so was given a space heater). Breakfast included in room rate was surprisingly decent: thick, creamy porridge with bread and butter and cheese, yogurt and some pastries was one of three options (fried eggs and such was another). ||Cons: |My room stunk like drainpipe/sewage my whole stay. Whilst there is air freshener in the bathroom, it didn’t even come close to covering it. WiFi was also nonexistent which was really frustrating considering Booking.com lists it as an amenity. TV had no English stations. Also whilst street noise was minimal, the walls to the other rooms were really thin: I heard everything one night from a room next door and fell asleep with earplugs. I would not stay...

Завтрак был включен. Еда - шведский стол с 8:00 до 11:00 (1 января был впервые с 9 до 12, повара сказали, что такого никогда не было, поэтому сначала в 11 все убрали, а потом назад все вернули до 12, как положено). По еде было из всего, что помню - яйца варенные, жаренные, гречка, бекон, сосиски, зеленый салат, огурцы, помидоры. Из сладкого были печеньки, можно было позавтракать также творогом (курагу, орехи и чернослив, мед и сметану можно самому добавить), либо же шариками или мюслями с молоком или водой. Имелся кипяток для заварки чая сухой чай. Также была лимонная вода. Кофе-машина - эспрессо, американо, - помню, что только такой кофе делает.

Сам номер был отличный (правда, при выборе на Booking нужно было уточнять, какой номер с какой кроватью ты хочешь, ибо могут дать не тот, который ты хотел на картинке, со мной было именно так). Ванная, спальня, малюсенький коридор. Единственное, чего не хватало - так это кухни. В спальне был шкаф, плазма, чайник, комод с зеркалом, немного расстроило, что двухспальная кровать была вовсе не двухспальной, а смещёнными односпальными кроватями, из-за чего было неудобно спать вдвоём и был небольшое зазор (это поправимо, можно найти выход). ТВ - кабельное, по своей натур странное, но работает, главное не трогать провод, а то не дай Бог оборвётся сигнал (но это тоже поправимо). Хотя в любом случае можно подключить HDMI или USB. В номере ещё есть чайник))

Интернет. Открытая сеть, поначалу это даже показалось немного странным. Но сигнал Wi-Fi был превосходным - доходил до 6.8 Mb/s !

Ванная комната. Претензий нет, особенно когда убирают каждый день. Если за вещички боитесь - идите к администратору и просите, чтобы вам не убирали. Я всё же на второй день попытал удачи и у меня нормально убрались, ничего не крали.

Также приятный момент - на Новый год сердечно попросили взять стол со стульями со столовой, для празднования - разрешили. Очень были признательны!

Пара нюансов - расположение и парковка. Негде ставить машину, сразу скажу, а отель находится в самом-самом центре (10 минут до пл. Рынок). Ах да, ещё нужно пешочком на 4-й этаж подниматься, с этим была проблемка. И последнее, что немного мешало - узкие коридорчики, но это просто детский лепет по сравнению с парковкой))

Я только начинающий путешественник, и Львов являлся моим 3-м путешествием без родителей (мне 17). Отель очень классный, нам с девушкой он очень понравился, обслуживание на высоте, в следующий раз будем без сомнений здесь...
