Edinburgh Castle Apartments & Suites — Hotel in City of Edinburgh

With the exception of the location, which was excellent, we were very DIS-satisfied with the rental and believe we have been taken advantage of, and overcharged. The room was not as advertised.

My wife and I are in our mid 70's, and we were traveling with our 45 year old son. We travel a lot and have never encountered such a situation.The posting was totally misleading stating that it was a 2 bedroom apartment in the title. A 2 bedroom apartment implies 2 bedrooms and a common area, not 1 bedroom and a common area with a murphy bed. The space was totally inadequate and uncomfortable with only a love seat, one other chair, and no tables. This rental is barely adequate for a couple much less 3-4 adults.

The murphy bed effectively consumed half the common space not allowing for a table and chairs to sit at. Without a table and chairs to sit at, the stove and oven add no value, and with only 1 pot to use, what's the point? putting appliances in a bedroom doesn't make it a kitchen.

There were no paper towels, no toiletries, and we had to buy toilet paper on the 3rd day. The closet in the common space did not have a hanger rod and hangers to hang up clothes, nor door handles, so we had to work out of our suitcases which took up more floor space.

We were supposed to be going to Rome but storm ewoyn changed and and we seen this place. We booked a studio apartment but feels more like a one bedroom. ||We were greeted warmly and the man I’m not sure if he is the owner but he was so helpful as before arriving he sent instructions with the PIN code for the room and about the discounted parking. He also showed us a 2 bedroom apartment ||We are staying in number 10 it’s right at the top of the stairs I’m knackered walking up them but it’s good exercise but could be an issue for people wi the less mobility as there is not a lift but wasn’t a problem for us. ||We couldn’t believe the size of the room and everything so lovely clean and spotless and you can tell everything is cleaned properly and not a speck of dust anywhere. ||You also get an ironing board, iron, hairdryer, toaster, kettle, microwave and fridge, shower gel and conditioner and hand soap and moisturiser . You also get a scouter and fairy liquid and tea, coffee and sugar. There is also a smart tv and has Netflix on it 👌👌||The bed is super comfy and the room is so big and very warm too as there is a guestbook with the rules and tells you how to work the heating. We booked to stay here before Christmas with my partner and mum in law who is 70 so we emailed and ask for a ground floor room.||We arrived at 10 on the morning as brought the bags in and they told us are room was ready.||Everyone was extremely helpful and kind, the room was brilliant, very clean tidy neat and everything that you would expect all immensities were provided and there was plenty of towels, the shower was extremely hot and shampoo etc was provided, you can also change the temp to what you want in the room.||The bed was extremely comfy, and a large size I had to roll over twice before being near my partner 😂😂||There was a welcome book with a little guide and a few suggested places to visit.||There is loads of channels for to if you having a chill before you go out.||The price was extremely fair for everything that you get and how central the location was. ||The location is pretty much a 15/20 minute walk to most places, there is a greggs and a shop across the road which is expensive but there is a Tesco express a 5 min walk. ||I would 100% stay here again and would recommend...
