Bonny Brae Guest House — Hotel in Great Britain

Host Teresa is friendly, welcoming and extremely knowledgeable about the Lake District so if you’re new to the LD make sure to run your plans by her for some invaluable advice and recommendations.||The house itself is spotless inside and beautifully quaint outside. The rooms we stayed in were modern and extremely clean. Breakfast was lovely and sets you up for the day. ||The immediate area has so many boutique shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes and also a well sized Co-Op and Sainsburys Local. You can literally walk around the immediate area shops in 5mins! ||The area is served by a bus that will take you to the ferry at Bowness or to Ambleside and Grasmere so you can get around very easily to access walks etc. We did a short walk down to Windemere lake on our arrival day and that was a lovely intro to the area.||WiFi was good at Bonny Brae but it wasn’t great on Saturday - probably too much internet traffic…who knows.||All in all we had a lovely stay and Bonny Brae and it is definitely on my list as a place to return to should I visit Windemere again (which I would...

I have just sayed at the beautifully quaint Bonny Brae for two nights with friends, and had a lovely time.||||The guesthouse is centrally located, minutes from the train station, and close to the bars, restaurants and shops of Windermere.||||Teresa is a lovely lady and a great host, nothing was too much trouble, very knowledgeable about the Lake District and more than happy to share advice and recommendations to make your visit the best it can be.||||The room was very well appointed, modern, comfortable, and clean, with free WiFi to upload all the pictures you will take.||The breakfast was delicious and really set you up for a day exploring and sightseeing.||||Bowness is approximately a 20 minute walk away or for those that are less mobile there is a bus that goes from the train station that will take you to the cruisers at Bowness or to Ambleside and Grasmere, so you can get around very easily. ||||We had a lovely stay at Bonny Brae, I would highly recommend it and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again...

A friend and I stayed for 2 nights Fri and Sat in October. Theresa our host was friendly and welcoming as soon as we arrived and quickly gave us a parking permit and showed Peter my friend where to park his van. The rooms are excellent with comfy beds and decorated to a high standard. The rooms are well presented and cleanliness standard is extremely high. We both had a great nights sleep and the full English breakfast was absolutely delicious. Theresa is a very friendly and helpfull host who gave us a few tips on the locality where to go visit and good places to eat etc. All in all an exceptional guest house within a great location for exploring the locality.
