I booked this b&b due to the positive reviews, well having stayed there I don't get it, unless we had the worst room in the place.|As has been previously mentioned a friendly welcome and ok to park up early, so far so good.|We had room 9 on the top floor, on entry first thing I noticed was the carpet looked well past it's best, then looked up and noticed no lamp shade just a bulb, went to unpack and hang up some going out clothes , the wardrobe was missing a rail for hangers, went in the bathroom which smelt of drains, and saw that the grouting on the tiles was yellow and the shower hose and head was well skanky and what a monstrosity of a sink and cabinet, never mind, did I also mention how dirty the curtains were.|I don't expect Bellagio standards, but come on you can do better than that, only minor things but have a bit of pride in your business. |The breakfast, average at best, with the cheapest tasteless sausage.|I liked the honesty bar and the drinks were pretty reasonable and the free parking was a bonus, but would I return, no,and after this review I probably wouldn't be welcome anyway, I was only trying to be honest with some...
Read moreNice B&B, fantastic manager, great location with a car park attached to it which was a real bonus. Both of the rooms we had could do with a bit of tlc and apart from the melted plug this didn't cause us too much concern. Hoping that the new owner will spend some money on the place and tweak the little issues. |Lovely idea of an honesty bar but the glasses we used on our first night were still sitting dirty on the side the morning we checked out which was 2 days after we arrived. Breakfast was good but the young girl that was serving needs to use her head to save her legs. She carried every pre ordered breakfast up the stairs into the dinning room and it would be sensible to clear empty plates and take them away on her return journey back to the kitchen. Also the fridge in the breakfast room where the spare butter etc is kept is in dire need of a good clean. Also running out of fresh fruit and cereal isn't ideal when the choice on offer is limited to start with.|We would return to this b&b with the hope that the minor issues we experienced...
Read moreWhat an absolute gem Phoenix court is, honestly this has been the best room my husband and I have stayed in, in the UK. The room was spacious, it was immaculately clean, the little extras, coffee tea hot chocolate, and biscuits was a nice touch, with the lounge downstairs having extra of those to top up. The towels were amazing, as someone who likes to wrap themselves up after a shower the towel was the perfect size for this, I'd love to know where they are from! We didn't use the honesty bar downstairs but the prices were more than fair. The views were incredible with the hotel overlooking North Bay. We will be back, and will request a sea view room as that was the only thing missing from our stay was a view out our window but we can select that next time. Free parking as also an appreciated added extra Thank you for such a...
