I called in here on my last night at Scarborough. I could hear singing as I was walking along the front on the Sunday evening. I hadn't planned going there but it looked busy in a good way and I liked what I heard. I was only a couple of minutes before getting served and managed to get a small table. It did seem more a pub for regulars rather than holiday makers as everyone seemed to know each other. Superb pub for a pint the landlady has had this pub for years and does loads for the trawler lads and captains that still sail out of Scarborough. One of the few remaining pubs on the front that does not solely trade for the tourists. We have been going in for years as you know that your guaranteed the best pint of Guinness in Scarborough as the landlady is meticulous with cleaning of the beer lines a job often overlooked nowadays in the pub trade. Called here for a pint with friends while visiting Scarborough. I've come to the conclusion that you can tell how classy a place is by the quantity of letters missing from the pub name....
