Entry is between two buildings of a flight of stairs. Parking is within a 5 minute walk in Q car park which you will get a discount on for £8 for 24 hours. Beautiful-looking place. The room we had cost £90 and came with a massive shower, heated mirror in bathroom, kettle with tea and coffee, a safe and even a fridge. Beautiful lighting and even surround sound which also went into the bathroom. The view from the view from the window was awful as it was looking down on to part of a building with hole in its roof. We did a request a quiet room so we did get a quiet. However keeping in mind that it is right next to a train station and clubs. Unfortunately I have had to give it only three stars due to how much I was upset about the massive gap between the front door and the hallway which anyone could look under and between the bathroom door I have attached photos. When mentioning this when they asked how I style was they didn't really seem to think that this was an issue. Continental breakfast amazing, loads of choice. Full cooked Scottish breakfast didn't seem very Scottish and wasn't all that well cooked but by far definitely not the worst. For staying you get your second drink in the bar half price. A small bottle of Prosecco cost around £7. Which I thought wasn't too bad for a hotel. The lounge where food is served is quite small so make sure you're the first to get down there or you may have to wait your turn. I really really wish I could have given this place a 5-star but due to the gaps in the doors and the factors when mentioned it seems like we were just being brushed off, I have unfortunately had to settle it with a 3 star rating. However if privacy is not something that you were entirely bothered about definitely go with a five-star and opt for continental breakfast. The staff dealing with the food were...

A last minute booking as I was tired driving north from the South of England booked at 11.45pm it was early March I still had an hour's drive to reach Glasgow. It was cheap so I was more interested if it was clean than luxurious. I reached the hotel at about 1.15am and checked in asked about parking and was given a card told to go to this car park the card would entitle me to 50%discount on the car park rate. Lie number 1, parked car went to check in to the room got keys in room carpet torn and curtain in a similar state room however was clean. Breakfast in the morning was paltry and of poor quality even the cup of tea was no better than wet and warm (mind you my impression was it was somewhere you could crash out if you were on the session in Glasgow) and you obviously weren't very picky. Got back to my room to grab a shower and by 10.10 am a woman was banging on my door screaming and bawling I was going to be charged £25 if I didn't leave the room immediately. I'm in the shower so I shouted back to remind her that I was very late in checking in. Her reply was she didn't care it wasn't her problem. I checked out to a pile of verbal from the receptionist, reach the carpark got a hold of an official asked how the discount deal works and showed him the card he laughed and said it was a con £18.00 to park from about 1.20am to 10.30 am Personally I would never use this place again and they did charge my card for being late in leaving the room accordingly it was a 10am check out but I was not told this on...

After some confusion with booking which was my fault the hotel kindly honoured our stay as I’d cancelled by mistake within minutes of booking (so this was fixed within same half hour)||Staff were lovely and friendly. Lovely lounge to sit in with free tea, coffee etc. We had a little one with us so found the lounge great to sit later on and have a quiet drink.||Only problem was our room, it was very small for 3 of us with a double bed. We did have a travel cot but if we’d put it up we’d of had no room for getting dressed. The room was very tired and needed repair. The bathroom door didn’t open fully as the sink stopped it and also the shower was in a small cupboard/room which I didn’t like tbh so sadly I didn’t us. We only stayed two days but that was enough due to size. ||When leaving we did hear a guess say how big there room was and it did make us a little sad as we paid £179 and the room wasn’t worth that. ||I didn’t expect luxury but a comfortable sleep and enough room to relax in.||Positive great location, no parking outside hotel so had to unload car...

Have a cab bring you to the door because it might be easily missed, blending in with the bustle of Union Street. Was warmly greeted at reception one flight up, even helped with my heavy baggage (this charming historic building has no elevator). My cozy hideaway was on the 4th (top) floor, for one person it's perfection. My room was very obviously recently redone, with "eat off the floor" cleanliness. Smart, thoughtful design - you have everything you could ask for - even a small fridge and hairdryer mounted just under a mirror. The double room looks exactly as it does in the pictures. Bed was super-comfortable. I'm a heavy sleeper so the street noise didn't bother me; the renovations included new windows to reduce noise. For the price and location - you will not find anything better in Glasgow.

Great Central placed hotel right next grand Central station, good location, Old Hotel with no lift so you'll struggle with cases up the staircase, sound proofing not great, creaky floors, basic bathroom with shower (curtains), our room was cold even with radiator on full due to draft from window, shower was hot at night but when I had one in morning it was cold despite me turning it up to max, hotel does breakfast £9 extra, and has bar facilities, unfortunately didn't get a lot of sleep due to Rod Stewart fans across from room (management did tell them to keep noise down), not hotels fault but like most people that stay in hotels you get some who respect the privacy of guests at night and you get some that don't, check in is 1.30pm which is good checkout is 10.30am,
