My husband and I visited this church for the first time on Sunday 22nd of September. Have to say it was absolutely beautiful. The service was lovely, the choir fantastic and the ladies in the shop were so nice to us. We got some beautiful photo's too. For me though the tour by Ralph was very moving. He spoke so eloquently about the Italian Memorial Garden. He, and those caring for the garden were so caring & informative about their families legacy. We have no Italian family but felt great empathy & sympathy for their loss. The whole visit was very serene and spiritual for us. Thank you all. God bless. A must visit if ever in Glasgow.

Metropolitan Cathedral of St Andrew, a 1816 Gothic revival Roman Catholic Church, with cool, contemporary artwork housed in its re-invented cloister garden, is just off the River Clyde and next to the Portland Street Suspension Bridge. This beautiful retreat is not only rewarding for your worn soul... but also your worn soles, knees, and hips! We each chose our own pew since we had the place to ourselves, sat in silence for about 10 minutes, and just let our thoughts wander. Our aching feet though, they stayed in place.

Metropolitan Cathedral is a Roman Catholic Cathedral in the city centre of Glasgow, Scotland, which was designed in 1814 by James Gillespie Graham in the Neo Gothic style. It lies on the north bank of the River Clyde in Clyde Street. It is dedicated to the patron saint of Scotland, Saint Andrew. The cathedral's pipe organ was originally built in 1903 by Henry Willis & Sons. It is a peacefull place for pray.

The church in Glasgow is in a crisis of faith and those in the hierarchy would rather bang on about "climate change" than the SALVATION OF SOULS! They have forgotten the divine mission that Our Lord laid out for us (or they simply refuse to carry out that mission). The Glasgow faithful need traditional authentic catholic moral direction and they are not getting it from Rome and not from our Bishop William Nolan. Enough with this talk of "synodality", we laymen do not want power. We want you clergy to exercise your God given authority for the good of Holy Mother Church. You are currently failing monumentally and it has to change. May God have mercy...

This fairly modern cathedral dedicated to Saint Andrew strikes a stark contrast with Glasgow's much older, and more famous medieval cathedral. The metropolitan cathedral is bright and clean, small but striking. It sits on the bank of the Clyde, nestled comfortably in between even more modern buildings of Glasgow. Do stop inside to admire the white and gold interior, and step outside for a moment of peace in the memorial garden, with its water, mirrors and olive tree, a tribute to those who lost their lives in the tragedy of the...
