The decor was beautiful! We were immediately put at ease by the wonderful and kind staff, who cared for us throughout our visit. The music was slamming and we absolutely loved it!
Big shout out to the chefs who crafted the most delectable Japanese cuisine. Truly doing God's work! Each bite was a flavour sensation! We were given the choice between chopsticks and cutlery, and we politely declined the cutlery as we are chopstick alphas. (so if you can't use chopsticks then it's okay they'll love you anyway). Big ups to the refreshing fruit juices on offer. I personally was a fan of the pineapple juice whilst my partner preferred the orange lemonade. He actually downed 4 glasses and loved every drop.
We aren't usually big eaters, but for SushiYa we made the exception. Clean plates all round and we were absolutely stuffed! Unfortunately I really wanted to try the puddings but I got full up on all of their amazing savoury dishes that I forgot all about dessert lol!
We came here two days in a row and we were the only ones there for the most part- very sad as this is an amazing restaurant in a very good location, as its right next to the station!
We hope to be back as we can't get this place out of our hearts and souls! Truly a life changing...
Read moreWhat would have helped my experience be 5 star is if the menus were more reader friendly and be accessible to nuerodiverse and any other cognitive ability. It would be helpful if the menu was more organised with better visual aids. This would avoid stress when ordering as noone wants to eat while under stress. Also please include allergens on your menu or have a separate allergen menu again to reduce stress for customers when ordering. I also understand what was said in previous comments about the wasabi and ginger and it would be helpful if you could explain your policy to customers when they are ordering again to avoid stress of not receiving wasabi and ginger when the sushi comes out. I had a few delays in eating because I had to look for the waitress to repeatedly ask for it. You could ask up front if customers like it and then automatically take out and replenish their wasabi and ginger when it's running low and this will make for a much more enjoyable sushi experience because I have NEVER gone for sushi anywhere in the world and not had wasabi and ginger given with sushi. It was confusing and irritating to be honest and it's hard to say that I will be back. The waitress made a lot of effort so thank...
Read moreAtmosphere: a bit too noisy couldn't really have a conversation there even either not a full packed restaurant the tables around were too loud. Service: Fast, accurate about the details of menu items. Food: Everything was so delicious and big portion. The only downside was build your own kit of kimchie, everywhere I had was already served as ready. Not sure what's the process or portions for it and got it as build your own with no farther instructions had to pass on the experience and miss on the full experience of the soup that came with it. Otherwise, it would've been 5/5.
All in all if the bigger table had been less accessively loud and the kimchie kit would've been an issue would've definitely come again for try different menu items in future great place...
