Rocklea — Hotel in Great Britain

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Rocklea Guest House. Liz and Chris, the hosts, were incredibly lovely. They struck the perfect balance of being friendly and engaging in conversations while remaining polite and non-intrusive. Their recommendations for local attractions were spot on and greatly enhanced our visit.

The breakfast served each morning was fantastic—one of the best I've had in the UK. The cooking was top-notch, and it was clear that Liz and Chris are dedicated to using high-quality ingredients. One morning, Chris noticed that one of the raw ingredients wasn't up to their high standards, so he discarded it and used a fresh one instead of compromising on quality. This level of dedication truly made a difference and contributed to our wonderful experience.

Where do we start . Firstly stay here you won’t regret it, Liz and Chris are wonderful hosts and nothing is too much trouble. We stayed in the Castlerigg room which was great with lots of space. Breakfast is wonderful with lots of choices, Chris and Liz ask you to make your selection the night before and give them an indication of a time, this is because everything is freshly prepared for you and Liz is always on hand with the coffee pot. The B&B is located in a quiet street with plenty of on street parking. Don’t let the parking put you off , we never once had any issues finding somewhere to park less than 30 sec away if not directly outside. It’s a 20 minute walk down into Bowness and 5 mins up into Windermere to finds lots of...
