I don’t normally post many reviews, and especially negative ones but this isn’t the norm… There website states ā€œ You can be confident your apartment has been cleaned thoroughly, complying with the Association of Serviced Apartment’s cleanliness standardsā€. Sadly as you can see from the pictures this is not the case! Prior to occupying the room there was egg shells around the sink, the toaster look like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks, the freezer had more ice than the North Pole. Im sorry to say, it was that bad, I asked for some cleaning spray and wasn’t even quizzed why. When the small under sink bin got full i asked for this to be emptied, I was handed bags and told to empty it myself and take the rubbish to the communal bins at the end of the car park. Is this what you do as a guest? I asked for some towels as they’d not been changed and asked when rooms are cleaned, I was blown away when told once a week on Thursday. Considering the price of the hotel and statement on the website regarding cleanliness and Covid measures… I couldn’t find words... Chester was very busy and I’d already checked options to stay somewhere else, I had little to none so had to stay. The reviews about the car park are the unfortunately true, if you drive anything bigger than a smart car don’t expect to be able to open your doors and get out unless your ā€œThe Dukes of Hazardā€ Just my opinion but the hotel procedures need some big changes, or the statements the website need to reflect the true standard seen in these pictures I’ve taken. Hotels are busy places and get some really use and abuse at times this is understandable, but this one needs more than procedural changes and a lick of paint. Please see pictures taken from my stay. I hope this is of some use... and perhaps goes some way to some positive changes at Roomzzz Chester.

Bad Parking we had to pay 10.50 for parking overnight, they should provide free parking or at least let us know they only had 20 spaces and the whole hotel was booked :/ got into our room none of our lights would work turns out youve got to put your key in the lock in the door for the lights to work very annoying because they didnt tell us that. They direct you to the race course car park but it says you cant park overnight there? We drove around for at least an hour trying to find a car park then we needed some cash didnt have any because we thought we would get a space so it didnt matter. The trip for me and my boyfriend was to get away for one night as we both work never get to see each other and it was pretty much ruined. We were going to see the sights in chester but we spent about 2 hours just trying to park somewhere overnight it was an absolute joke. When you pay good money you expect a level of communication or service and we didnt get that. We've been to the leeds one many times and we fell in love we decided to try other locations and was very disappointed.. šŸ˜‘ however this was our view from the hotel window so 3 star rating.

Absolutely fantastic apart hotel perfectly located within Chester’s city walls right next to the racecourse. Room has everything you’d need for a longish stay, with microwave, kettle, hob etc. Only there for one night but could’ve easily stayed longer. Bathroom spacious with rain shower and complete with underfloor heating. Reception very welcoming and managed to get us in our rooms before the 3pm check in which was handy. Mentioned it was my birthday when booking and they had a card & banner for me in the room, which was a nice touch. Car parking was Ā£10 and around 20 spaces, so can be limited. Breakfast is a grab & go style and there is also other options to buy too, such as pies, chips and other snacks from the ā€œshopā€. Defo recommend for anyone looking to stay in Chester! šŸ‘

We stayed here for a hen weekend and we were a large group. Location was good, next to the racecourse, only a short walk into Chester. The staff were friendly and helpful, and helped take photos of the group before we headed out. There's free tea and coffee and a water cooler in the reception. We paid for an early check in for 1 room so we could store all our bags safely until later in the day. We didn't spend much time in the rooms but they were good-sized, modern and well-maintained apartments, including nice shower room (no door lock which is strange but not a big issue), small kitchenette and sitting area with sofa and TV. Some of our group said the beds were hard but I found them perfectly comfortable. They have a little 'convenience' shop at reception which we made use of when we got back from dancing - it was expensive; £5 for frozen pizza which you have to cook in microwave, and £4 for small microwave (gluten-free) Mac n cheese which looked a bit strange but at 2am we weren't too fussy! Breakfast was a grab and go selection of pastries, fresh fruit, machine coffee and tea, and fruit juices. There's no dining area so we grabbed something small and then headed into Chester for a proper breakfast where we could sit down together. Overall it might not be for everyone, but it was smart and functional, suited our needs perfectly and was very good value for money. It would suit people traveling for work, large or small groups, couples looking for a practical, good value option. Many of the group said they would stay again for a night out or weekend at races as it's cheaper than a taxi back to...

Have stayed at this hotel for the fifth time in the Ascot suite nearly every year since just before lock down.|I know times are hard in hospitality but it is sad to see the continued decline; in everything except the staff !|Bathroom door that swings open, is still not fixed, since reporting it last May !|Rooms could do with an update in furnishings as they are starting to look tired. This hotel has, over time, accelerated from exceptional.... to average.|Complementary snacks get less, and poorer quality - gone are the days of Green&Black chocolate... and now you are expected to share a bag of crisps with your partner - hardly a penthouse experience ! Come on this is supposed to be a premium experience - at least push the boat out to a cheap bottle of Pinot ?!?|Breakfast is also a much diminished affair these days - if you don't like croissants you will starve ! What has happened to healthy options ? |The wonderful roof extensive terrace is still barren and bare looking. Its wasted due to lack of proper seating and No dining table & chairs, sunshade (or rain canopy) - which could easily be accommodated ? This could be a really great space - how about a few strings of pretty patio lights - they don't cost much ? WHERE IS YOUR CREATIVE TEAM ?? No effort has been made whatsoever to make the outside space the least bit attractive - what a crying shame.|This place needs to keep up. A prime location but no effort in making the interior or exterior that special - Maybe a visit to Hotel Indigo at the other end of the city might enlighten and inspire the powers that be who are managing...
