My husband and I hadn’t visited Weymouth since lockdown and were excited to embark on a long weekend as a couple in need of a vacay this one just gone as it’s very much a special location for us. ||The Angove ticked alot of boxes being adult only, beachfront, accessible permit parking and in close proximity to all amenities plus a plush looking good sized bedroom we certainly were in for a treat!||Upon check in, Simon was very personable and friendly and we had a good chat about how they acquired the property and their background whilst learning a bit more about Vanessa and her family being from the same area as our hometown was really interesting. ||The room was spectacular and was decorated beautifully with aesthetically pleasing colour tones and complimenting furniture that were chic and well appointed. It was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed including a fridge and table. The property throughout is done to a high standard and you can tell a lot of time and love has been dedicated to restoring the former glory of its original Georgian character features which were stunning. ||Unfortunately the disappointing factor for us was the compact bathroom, this lacked the same attention to detail sadly which was a real shame. The fittings (towel rail and shower) were loose and of poor quality, the wallpaper was starting to come away and with this type of material in a small room meant you could smell damp. The toilet despite persevering didn’t flush properly and there was paint on the tiles and other fittings which you don’t expect with the price of the room. The grouting was also discoloured and needed replacing which is an easy fix so I would encourage the owners to take this on board to ensure it reflects the overall quality of the room as a whole. ||Breakfast was reasonably good but not superb as advertised. The scrambled eggs on the first day were anaemic with no colour and the bacon on day two was undercooked and the presentation was just lacking. However, the fruit and cereal were delicious as was my hubby’s full English on day one it’s just about consistency. Every experience should be top tier as they could always lead to repeat custom which is hugely important in the hospitality industry. ||We travel very often and are used to certain standards and with a couple of tweaks know this could definitely be a 5 star establishment. Thank you for a lovely stay Simon and Vanessa and keep up the good work you’ve got a...

The TV was working however my relatives' TV didn't have that many channels and had trouble getting signal. Shower was fine to use. We were not given towels or shampoo/body wash, toothpaste, etc. Wifi couldn't reach all the way upstairs only to the first and second floor. One of the rooms has a cracked window and should be fixed. However it was a great view to look outside. Most windows should be double glazed as of the noise outside (busy road). Bed covers are clean and tidy. The staff often comes everyday to every room to check and clean the rooms. Staff is extremely friendly and offer whatever you need. For some reason, there was a smell that's like a cigarette type of smell when entering the building. Some of the posters are outdated but the help from the staff was really helpful. To conclude, this is a fantastic B&B to stay in for a budget and for one or two nights stay. It's not a luxury stay but I definitely had...

On her first night at the premier, she got out of bed in the small hours to use the loo. Because there was no bedside light in the room ( only a lamp on a table several feet from the bed) she fell, causing two black eyes and extensive bruising to her face which became highly visible within 24 hours, and twisting her right ankle. The response of the manager the following morning was
" I can see you're not happy here, I need you to leave immediately." No offers of help or medical assistance, no visible accident management, no accident reporting or recording procedures in place. The matter is currently under investigation by environmetal health officers.
A dismal guest house run by truly vicious individuals with no courtesy, humanity nor morals. A claim for compensation has also...
