First Time Stay at INSIDE Liverpool – A Memorable Experience||I recently stayed at INSIDE Liverpool for a one-night work trip, from Monday 7th to Tuesday 8th April, and I was genuinely impressed by my experience. When it comes to business travel, there are a lot of things I’ve come to expect, but this stay exceeded my expectations in a number of ways.||Check-in & Customer Service:|Upon arrival, the check-in process was smooth and efficient, which is always a great start. But what really stood out was the personal touch offered by the staff. They asked if I had a preference for a high or low floor—a small but thoughtful gesture that shows they truly care about making guests feel comfortable. It’s the kind of detail that other hotel chains could learn from, as it made me feel more at ease and respected from the get-go. The staff, in general, were exceptionally friendly and professional, which added to the overall positive experience.||Room & Facilities:|The room was a solid standard—spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with everything I needed for my short stay. However, there was one aspect that I wasn’t entirely comfortable with, though it’s more a matter of personal preference than anything else. The shower and sink were situated in the same open area as the living space, which is a bit of an unusual layout for me. While this setup may work perfectly well for others, I’m more accustomed to having these facilities tucked away in a separate, private area. It wasn’t a deal-breaker by any means, just something I wasn’t used to. That said, the room itself was comfortable, with a bed that made it easy to unwind and get some much-needed rest.||Breakfast:|Breakfast in the morning was another highlight. The buffet offered a variety of options, ranging from hot dishes to fresh fruit and pastries. I was impressed with the selection, as it catered to all kinds of tastes. However, I do have to mention, albeit as a personal preference, that I wasn’t particularly keen on the sausages. They were fine, just not to my liking. But this is purely subjective—other guests may have enjoyed them more than I did! That being said, the rest of the breakfast was great, and it provided the perfect fuel for a busy day ahead.||Customer Care:|A particularly noteworthy part of my stay came after I checked out. I realised I had left a couple of items behind in the room and was a little disappointed with myself. To my surprise, within a few hours, I received an email from the hotel offering to either mail the items to me or allow me to collect them in person at my convenience. This level of thoughtful customer care was such a pleasant surprise. It’s a rare find and something that I think other hotels could definitely learn from. It’s these little touches that make a huge difference in creating loyal guests, and I really appreciated it.||Location & Staff:|The location of INSIDE Liverpool couldn’t have been better. It’s situated right in the heart of the city, so whether you’re there for business or leisure, you’re just a stone’s throw away from the key attractions, restaurants, and shops. Everything I needed was within walking distance, which made my stay even more convenient. The staff, once again, deserve special mention. From the moment I arrived until the time I left, they were warm, accommodating, and genuinely seemed happy to help. It wasn’t just the check-in staff either—the whole team, from housekeeping to breakfast service, exuded professionalism and a willingness to go above and beyond.||Final Thoughts:|All in all, my stay at INSIDE Liverpool was an excellent experience. While there were a couple of minor aspects—like the unique bathroom layout and my personal preference on sausages—that didn’t completely align with my usual hotel habits, these were very small things in the grand scheme of things. What truly made this stay stand out was the exceptional customer service, the fantastic location, and the friendly, professional staff who made me feel at home from the moment I walked in.||This hotel is a great choice for anyone visiting Liverpool, whether for business or leisure. It’s clear that INSIDE Liverpool is doing things right, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Hopefully, next time I can enjoy it even more as a civilian and not just on business!||Thanks again to the team at INSIDE Liverpool for a truly memorable stay. You’ve set the bar high for future hotel...
Read moreThe good points: lovely big bright room with great views out onto the city or the River Mersey. Bed comfy, linen nice and fresh. Complimentary soft drink /water minibar, replenished daily. Room safe easy to use and has a steamer instead of iron.|Breakfast, good selection of continental and cooked, pastries etc. No complaints, but didn’t eat a hot breakfast so not sure on how hot/replenished the food was.||Downside, window had a large crack in the bottom left. Not sure if that contributed to the cold area coming from the window. The units/vanity units, whilst modern, not really fit for purpose. Kettle in a boxed shelf not much wider than kettle. Then very limited ea and coffee sachets and not many of each sugar approx 2/3 of white brown / sweetener, and just 4 small milk sachets each day. Also, no hot chocolate or snack.|Not much wardrobe space.|Nowhere to comfortably do your hair. No mirrors really by a plug. The huge mirror is lovely by the door, but the hairdryer is on a coiled lead and the socket is by the door the other side. So looking in the mirror whilst drying hair nearly impossible as plug would pop out. And nowhere to rest the dryer or your brush in between blasts, without carrying a table over from the other side of room. No other mirrors within the bedroom area either. Shower is nice, but whilst the shower area is lovely and big, the shower head is positioned in the corner facing the side panel of the unit, making the actual shower area to stand under the water no bigger than a cupboard sized shower. All in all not bad.|Restaurant for dinner. Borderline awful. Service is the main thing that lets it down. Not very busy at all, and approximately 4/5 staff. Waited an age (approx 30 mins) for a drink order, pushed to order food at same time. Waited so long for a drink I had eaten my starter as it arrived. No urgency when asked either. No apology or accountability just told ‘it’s coming now’ Then witnessed the drink sat on the bar for most of this time, but when I suggested I get it myself I was told they would bring it now, but didn’t. Really can’t have been more than 8 tables on at any one time when I dined.|Food was nice when it finally arrived. As it didn’t just happen once, I wouldn’t really dine here again, or recommend I’m afraid, which is a shame as I was excited to eat there with it being a Gino restaurant.||If it wasn’t rated as a four star hotel, and it was rated 3 star, I would have upped my rating based on my experience. The restaurant also really lets it down really.||Would I stay again, yes, but...
Read moreI was expecting to have a nice weekend to rest and relax at Liverpool from heavy work. I checked in Friday and was waken up at 6.30 am on a Saturday morning by the room next door (two rooms connected). There was a wedding preparation and party on the Saturday morning, completely understood, but it ruined me and my mrs’ weekend. There were lots of people chatting laughing and doors in/out. How can I get rest from this!? This was what I got from £100+ per night, rather not coming! Also on my lift up, I was queuing but suddenly the breakfast room service (2 ladies) just walked in the lift and closed the door. I was literately stood there and waited. This was very rude, not even mentioned that they delivered the breakfast to my next door and the food trolley blocked my door access when I got back. Not professional.
Then I was very argued and got down to the reception and chatted about this at 7.05 am in the Sat morning. The lady at the reception was very nice, checking all possibilities and promised to get a new room for me asap. Because this hotel checkout time is 12 so she can’t provide me a room straightaway. At 10:45 she rung me and offered me an upgraded suite room on the other city side at different floor that can be moved to straight away. To not wait until 12pm and delay our planned activities at Liverpool, we moved to the new room straightaway. The room was very nice and even bigger! We enjoyed our rest of activities at Liverpool then.
Over all, both room views were great (river side and city side), very large room, nice cans of free drinks in the fridge, good breakfast and gym facilities. I did not enjoy my stay for the first night and I did not rest well at all, which I believed, was the main purpose of hotel. I understand this level of hotel hosts big event like wedding but at least they should have also considered of others guest when arranging the rooms. I recommend all guests to check with reception if you want to have a good sleep. But I have to say the hotel dealt my situation very well and both me and my mrs were pleased about it. We still recommend this hotel and will come...
