Each Indian i visit just keeps getting better and better each time.
However. Unlike most Indian restaurants/takeaways i and many others have visited, it’s almost entirely, if not completely vegan! I know, a shocker, right? It was a very different experience to what i’m used to having at an Indian. But, despite the lack of meat, i was willing to try something new.
To actually get in, you must wander down a flight of stairs down into a cellar or bunker of some kind into the restaurant. Very niche, indeed.
The decor is very vibrant and full of life and colour. And the music, for most of these places, is just always relaxing.
And my goodness the food, wow. Despite the obvious fact that it’s missing the poultry, red meat aspect of the dishes, it was damn amazing! Need i say more? It honestly made me feel hungry for more it was that darn good. The spices, the texture, the flavour? Oh stop it. The quality of the ingredients is honestly unrivalled by many places i’ve happened to visit, so far. For my first experience in a vegan based restaurant, for the first time ever, i can truly say i did not miss the meat alternatives, at all.
Service was top notch, in addition to my general time here.
In conclusion? It’s an Indian restaurant, with a rather unusual vegan twist. A good unusual that is. Me and my friends all had such a wonderful time together here, spent enjoying some of the best food i ever had. And I personally believe whether you’re vegan or not vegan, everyone from all backgrounds would truly love it here, with Sanskruti offering something that everyone could enjoy, no matter where you stand diet wise.
One things for sure, though, you’ll be seeing me here again at some point in...

Sanskruti is located a couple of minutes away from Moorfields Train Station.
This restaurant has been a long time favourite of mine and is one of the only vegetarian restaurants I visit. The food is consistently tasty and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
There is a reasonable amount of seating available at the restaurant but if you are visiting for dinner I would recommend reserving a table as it does get very busy - I visited on a Tuesday evening and it was full (but I reserved a table the Sunday before and managed to book for Tuesday evening).
The waitress that seated me and my friend and the waiter who recommended the Thali and explained some of the dishes were really nice and knowledgable.
I ordered the ‘Sharing Tandoori Platter’ (for 2) which costs £15, as a starter. The platter comes with two dips and the food was surprisingly spicy but very enjoyable.
For the main, I ordered the ‘Thali’ to share which costs £17 and a garlic naan which costs £3. The Thali consists of a smaller portion but a mixture of starters, mains, dal, rice, roti, salad, dessert and papad. Overall, the Thali has a lot of variety and the portion of food was good. The garlic naan tasted nice too and goes well with dips.
Overall, the food and service was great. Despite the restaurant being vegetarian, the food has so much flavour and is very filling. Another pleasant experience at Sanskruti and a full stomach! I personally think Sanskruti is one of the best restaurants in Liverpool, I would highly...
Read moreI was recommended here, bit disappointed. Firstly nice decor for the restaurant. Not pram friendly stairs before you get to the restaurant. The staff at first where a bit apprehensive about giving me a bigger table I had booked for my partner, me and a baby in a pram. The two seats we where offered was one by the main door and the other facing what looked like a stock room. After my partner asked thrid time for a bigger table they then gave us the round table which was great. The reason they couldn't give us the others was because they where fully booked. Even though on arrival they had three tables in and the most busy it got was a max of 25%filled whilst we were there and upon departure. So I was a bit disappointed. Because they could have saved all the commotion to start. We ordered food and the staff where more helpful. Mango lassi was the best thing I had here. The starters where a bit bland, the burger batter was cooked in what I can only describe as over used old oil. (please see the picture attached) The two other mains didn't live up to expectations of previous places I've been. The main meal was just heat and not taste of other herbs and spices. No flavours bursting out. The rice was ok. The Roti was like the ones you buy from the supermarket. Honestly I have had better quality from takeaways and I am shocked as I was hoping for better. I was hoping we had just picked wrong starters but when we tried the main it confirmed everything. I do think we may have just been unlucky with the food. But won't be...
