Our recent experience at this hotel left us deeply dissatisfied, and I feel compelled to share our unfortunate encounter. To put it bluntly, the room we were provided was nothing short of minuscule. With barely enough space for a single person to move around, the room felt cramped and claustrophobic. A bed and a narrow passage were the extent of the available space, leaving us disheartened from the very beginning.
Adding to the disappointment was the unpalatable demeanor of the staff. A gentleman named Jeremiah, in particular, left a lasting negative impression. We were taken aback when he abruptly called us to demand a 15-pound late check-out fee, citing a policy that was never communicated during our check-in. The lack of information on check-out times and potential fees upon arrival was disconcerting.
Attempting to address the issue with Jeremiah only led to further frustration. Rather than offering a solution, he insisted that it was our responsibility to familiarize ourselves with Expedia's terms and conditions. When challenged to provide evidence of this policy on their website, he fumbled, failing to locate the information he claimed was readily available. To add insult to injury, his response to our urgency, as we had a flight to catch, was callously dismissive: "you will lose your flight."
Seeking intervention from Jeremiah's manager, Svetlana, proved equally fruitless. Instead of addressing the unprofessional conduct of her staff, she chose to defend Jeremiah's aggressive behavior. Her unwillingness to acknowledge the hotel's failure to communicate essential information and her redirection of blame onto us for not meticulously reading Expedia's terms and conditions was disheartening.
In conclusion, our stay at this hotel was marred by cramped accommodations and a complete lack of transparency regarding check-out policies. The discourteous behavior exhibited by the staff, particularly Jeremiah and his manager Svetlana, only served to intensify our disappointment. Regrettably, I cannot recommend this establishment to others, as our experience was far from the hospitable and transparent service one would expect from a...
Read moreWhere do I start? The location is the only perfect thing about this hotel! The reception staff are friendly but some of them are busy talking to eachother rather than helping clients! The check-in process is self-service which isnt great at that price point you'd expect a proper check in with a receptionist that can make a great first impression but looks like the hotel's management dont care about that. Now, the room is a complete disappointment! I stayed 10 days and paid 3003£ for a 2ppl room(roomy roomy) and wow how tight it was! Only 1 person can move around at a time. The bathroom was very tiny as others have mentioned(everything looks bigger/better in the pictures). There is literally no closet except for a tiny pole with 4 hangers with 3 drawers at the bottom so good luck if you need to hang a maxi dress(you'de expect at least a 1 door closet with this price but who cares about clients' expectations!) There is literally no room for 2 adults luggage(we each had 1 only so again they didnt think about the basics). I've stayed in different 3-5 stars hotels around the world and this is my first negative review in over 15years of travelling!! Now other than space, the ipad in the room to call the reception is useless(i kept trying 3 days in a row to call them but it said loading network connection and kept failing, 4th day and it worked- surprisee) plus the internet is the worst I've ever seen, you'd expect high speed uninterrupted wifi but nope. Even 3rd world countries have better network coverage than this! Last but not least, while you're inside the room, you can literally hear whats happening next door and out in the hallway!! Looks like the walls are paper thin in this hotel! One night I heard the guy next door throwing up at 3am.. on several nights I kept waking up during the night caz guests were either talking loudly or laughing/yelling in the hallway! I am sure I've missed couple of other points but let's leave it at that. Overall I wouldn't recommend this hotel despite the great location. Better go spend those 300gbp/night on a better room/hotel elsewhere around the same area and don't fall for the...
Read moreSo I’ve stayed in 5 or 6 hotels over the years in London ranging from $200 to $800 a night and this has to be the worst value for money. Don’t get me wrong, the location is great, but there are hotels within 5 mins walk that are both cheaper with bigger and better rooms. It’s like they got a blueprint for a hip hotel, started building and run out of ideas and space when they got to the actual hotel part. The cozy room is for literally 1 person, 2 people CANNOT move in the room at the same time - the bed and the tv is all there is space for. They reel you in with a balcony which is more for decoration than actual use cos again, can only fit 1 person. Mind you, for 6 nights that cost came to $2901 🤯
