I decided to take my 6 year old granddaughter for a trip to see Mamma Mia in the Novelle theatre in London, I checked the age restriction prior to booking and it was 5, great! I booked! I can honestly say I have never been more disappointed! The show itself was outstanding, however, 2 members of staff were so pedantic. We sat in the stalls the end seats at the back. My granddaughter couldn't see anything, I told her to sit on her knees as there was no one behind us. I was told she had to sit on her bottom! I asked if they had a booster seat in which they did, it made no difference, as it was a cushion i asked for another one and was just told no! So I told her to stand behind the chair. She was throughly enjoying when I was told she had to sit, I said she couldn't see and was offered to go and watch it from the bar, great I thought, we can see! Can't hear it though. So went back to our sits and told her to sit on her knee and I would take responsibility and have my arms around her. I was told no, however 5 mins left of the show I decided to leave with a very disappointed little girl in tow! I will never return to this theatre. I'm just glad The Appolo and Wicked did...

I personally loved the show I didn't like the fact the staff would stop 2 little girls from moving their arms in their parents laps not blocking any ones view as we made sure and our dad was sat directly behind us so no veiw blocked the ladys excuse was we can see you from the back yes you can as the back seats are higher an your watching but you conveniently didn't see when a lady directly beside us was recording the show yes you missed that didn't you but your biggest issue was the two 7 year olds amazing then you get your floor manager who wouldn't not listen eaither just throwing threats to have us leve the show I hope we never come across such moody vile people again as you let this theatre down dancing is dancing in the Isles and in front of people not two young children waving their arms. Don't wreck people's experiences we know the rules and we followed them we didn't block any one an we wernt a nuisance so thanks for that check your staff horrible forigne lady with blonde hair rude vile person and other lady was Asian glasses obviously bored needed to pick on two children let's hope you haven't wrecked their experience for...

I wouldn't even give 1 star to this theatre 🎭 the way they treated us.. travel all the way from Lincolnshire to watch the show. My mother in law and husband treated me 3 months ago by buying tickets to watch "mamamia". Waited for this show for so long, it meant to be my early birthday present and what happened is us being kicked out the show 15mins in! For something stupid like singing along to abba songs! We did not get a warning or nothing, one particular female staff who was standing in the corner of our row, she was the one that instead of warning us that we not allowed to enjoy show and sing along she brought all security guards she could possibly find and told them to kick us out!! I was so angry, she don't deserve job there, theatre just disrespected us and no one apologised, waste of money, waste of time and waste of my holiday i had book from work to travel all the way there!! Disgusting and embarrassing, will never go back to watch any shows. I stick to hull where we was respected and allowed to enjoy show, sing along and...

Supremely disappointing. I've seen mamma Mia four times now, and this was the worst and so the last. The cast seem to be just going through the motions at this point, racing through the dialogue, shouting the lyrics at the top of their voices even when it's supposed to be quiet and emotional, or mumbling them like Rex Harrison on Prozac. It's also an old theatre, which means if you're up in the balcony you can't see the front of the stage which is used a lot in this production. Or if you're in the stalls, they're not tiered which means your view is blocked by the head of the person in front. Plus they've now decided that the audience aren't allowed to sing along. Hmm. A jukebox musical which the audience know all the songs to... Yet they're not allowed to sing. They are however allowed to use their phones, take selfies, narrate to their partners every movement on stage, kick the seats in front and deliberately rustle and dent sweet wrappers and cans to make as much disturbance as possible. Avoid.

Took my niece to celebrate her 18th Birthday. This was her favourite film but this time on the stage Mamma Mia. On arrival staff were on hand straight away to do the regular security checks which took a matter of secounds and we were warmly greeted by the door staff who lead us in and showed us where to go, on walking up some stairs we were greeted again but more staff who directed us to our seats on walking into the theatre you could not miss the amazing architecture of the building, the pictures really dont do it justice. The theatre and staff were amazing and so welcoming my only criticism was the restrooms on secound floor they are simply not able to accommodate so many poeple, so allow a little bit of time before the show if u have travelled before hand.

Splurged for the top-priced seats in the house! Great view with no one in front of us... but the seats were so uncomfortable. I'm not "beanstalk" tall, but my knees were up against the balustrade in front of us. Didn't make for a comfortable experience. Maybe had the show been more to my liking I would have been concentrating on that rather than my knees. It felt like there was more room in economy class on a plane. I am not at all a regular theatre goer, so maybe all the theatre seats are like this? Although there was a queue to get in 30 minutes before the show, this was processed very quickly 👍. I had pre ordered drinks online. I'm not sure if I would do it again as there were still queues, and it was not clear which bar to go to.
