Stayed here for a week. I wanted to give this hotel 5-star since the room and service itself is relatively exceptional for the price point: 100% soundproofed and clean room Central AC has the right temperature Responsive reception and housekeeping Good room layout and gadgets (unfortunately TV is not Smart TV) Decent toiletries Free minibar (though choice of items are limited) Great cafe downstairs Very close walking distance to where I want to be and subway stations
The not-so-good aspects: Seems that some staff lack situational awareness and empathy. My partner fell and sprained her ankle at the hotel steps, which is very visible from where the reception is. A couple of strangers came to her aid, waited by her side, offered to call ambulance, but none of the hotel staff moved an inch and offer help when it happened and she had to limp back upstairs back to our room. This is a shame because typically the staff we encounter are quite warm The hotel's digital laundry service partner, Laundryheap is quite unreliable. Be very careful if you want to use their service. Please take a very good look at the app's review in AppStore/PlayStore before deciding. I used their service twice during the stay. Both opting for basic wash service (20GBP for 6kg of load). Some of the clothes came back damp in first order but can be airdried in the room. In the second order, the app chose to charge me 200GBP because they changed the service to wash & iron and count per piece. App's customer service is pretty adamant the choice was made at my end (it was not, since logically you would first itemize to find out how much you would pay if you want to do it per piece), and made a defense that customer doesn't need to do the itemizing to choose the wash & iron service--they would do the itemizing for you. This is also despite a very clear sign that I separated all the dirty clothes in laundry meshes when I handed them over and leaving a note to return the laundry meshes (which I won't need to bother do if it were service by piece). To make matters worse, the app record trail is not very transparent, so it will be futile to try to argue. I literally was asked to provide screenshot to prove I've chosen the basic wash service.
Not the hotel's fault per se, but if similar incident is to happen I future, I would recommend the hotel to review...
Read moreI had an unfortunate stay at the Page8 London hotel. I prepaid my stay through Orbitz for three nights, but upon arrival on the first night, I immediately contacted Orbitz to let them know I'd be staying only one night, and Page8 refused to refund the next two nights. Here are the problems I experienced.
Check-in seemed disorganized and unprofessional. The front desk is situated right next to a coffee stand, and it's not an intuitive setup. The room was very small. I didn't have a place to keep my luggage without it blocking a space in the room, as it couldn't accommodate much more than the queen bed. The room looked out across a courtyard to a commercial building, and you need to keep the blinds closed for privacy, which blocks out all light. The television didn't function properly. The channel guide was blank, so you needed to thumb through channels to see what was playing on each channel instead of being able to access a list. The shower had very little water pressure. When I showered in the morning, there was no hot water, only warm water. You can hear trains under the hotel passing underneath the building every few minutes. There was no iron/ironing board in the room.
Many of the above issues would have been acceptable and/or expected in a more budget-oriented hotel, but not at this cost, especially given the competition. On the positive side, the room was clean, the toiletries smelled great, and the location was fantastic.
I was disappointed that given these issues, I was refused a refund for the nights I chose not to stay. They were given notice the day before I would not be continuing my stay. I would recommend finding a more service-minded hotel if you are staying in...

Let me tell you about the rooms—pure bliss! They are spacious, modern, and tastefully designed, with every corner gleaming with cleanliness. The decor strikes a perfect balance between luxury and coziness, and I was in heaven on that incredibly comfortable bed.
