Really disappointed by the lack of customer service. When I entered (I was the only person in the shop) I asked where I could find their watercolour brushes (I was after squirrel mop brushes & couldn't remember the name) & was waved to "there's all our brushes" by the sales assistant. She didn't offer any help or guidance. After a couple more questions, it became apparent she didn't know anything about the stock or painting. She had to relay all my questions to her 2 senior colleagues, who both stayed chatting to each other at the till. I don't begrudge the junior member of staff not knowing anything if she is in training, but either of her two senior colleagues could have come & offered some help & expertise to the one person in the shop. I specially travelled to the store, so I could get some guidance from the experts, as the couple of times I've been to the Angel store they've always been really knowledgeable. But I shouldn't have bothered going, as they couldnt be bothered to serve me. I might as well have ordered online for all of...
Read moreI have visited this shop on numerous occasions over many years. The staff are knowledgeable and really helpful. On one occasion when I had to purchase a lot of heavy items which ,my grandson needed for an art college interview the manager carried them to the station for me! It was an emergency situation for which I was incredibly grateful. Above all Cass Art gives excellent value on the best quality products. There is a varied selection crammed into a not too big a shop. Of course there is more in their lovely shop in Islington which stretches over different floors but Charing Cross is convenient for the art galleries as well. Just as well as I have spent hundreds of pounds in this shop buying for myself, my grandsons when they had A levels, their friends and supplies for a small art group. I...
Read moreI went here today, the art materials there were superb, like everything you need, you can find it here. I asked a male employee there about a 60 pcs. of Faber Castell Polychromos Pencils and he assisted me very well, but unfortunately, it wasnât available. So, I decided to just pay the sketchbooks that Iâve picked. I gave 3 stars because of the lady cashier, SHE IS SO RUDE! She stares at me like Iâm gonna do something bad. And she rushes us like âare you ready to payâ and she looks very impatient while I was looking for a squirrel brush in the counter. Very unprofessional.
I donât know if Iâll ever come back here. I went to Cass art Brewers Street and Cass art Hampstead, and the staff there were very welcoming. I do not know what happened to the staffs here in Cass Art...
