I recently visited this Prezzo branch and had an unpleasant experience. Upon entering, I was greeted unprofessionally by a staff member, Angela (she was not wearing a Prezzo uniform, just normal clothes). She asked if we had any allergies, to which we replied yes. I opted for the vegan menu option to prevent any allergy attacks. However, when I kindly asked Angela for the vegan menu, she displayed a rude and stroppy attitude about it. She even said, “I told you to check the barcode,” which I found unhelpful and dismissive. I explained to her that I feel more comfortable opting for the vegan menu due to my allergy concerns, but her attitude did not improve.
Whilst we were looking at the menu, Angela didn’t give us much time to decide what we wanted to order. She kept coming to the table to ask if we were ready to order-this happened three times. We felt rushed, as though they wanted us out of the restaurant.
Later, another man, also not in uniform, came to take our order. We informed him of our allergy again. When I referred to the menu, I saw that "vg" stood for vegan, so I ordered a vegan salad. However, he rudely informed me that it was not vegan but vegetarian. I pointed out that the menu clearly stated "vg" for vegan, yet he continued to be impolite, though he eventually took my order.
When my order arrived, a young lady in uniform served the salad. I noticed it came with a dressing and asked her if it contained dairy. She admitted she was unsure and said she would check with her manager. I found it alarming that the dish had been served without confirming whether it was safe for someone with allergies. She returned later and assured me it did not contain any allergens. However, I still felt uncomfortable consuming it and asked for proof of the ingredients.
Angela then responded in a very unprofessional manner, saying, “We know what we are doing,” and took a photo of the ingredient list. I explained that it was irresponsible to serve food without checking for allergens first, as this poses a significant risk. Angela rudely repeated that they take allergies seriously and dismissed my concerns. I emphasised my right to ask for ingredient verification, which she reluctantly acknowledged.
The overall experience was highly disappointing. The food was cold, hard, dry, and flavourless. The staff were conceited, unprofessional, rude, and dismissive. They need to take allergy concerns more seriously. I would rate this place zero stars due to their lack of professionalism and...
Read moreRarely does the perfect combination of location, good ambience, great service, and excellent food come all together for a Restaurant, but at Prezzo on 116 St.Martins Lane London, it is perfection.
When you enter you are greeted by Lovely team of staff and they are as warm as the interior which has a wonderful mix of wooden floors and great bar with an excellent lit wine bottle display, and plenty of leather lounge booth style seating along with good sized tables and the seats are comfortable.
But what really is just marvelous is the menu and the tantalizing taste sensations of the meals. Behind this menu has been allot of years of experience by passionate and brilliant Chefs, Prezzo have created some of the very best food I have had the pleasure to eat. Modern Italian treats encompassing the taste of Italian and Mediterranean foods utilizing the the freshest products from the markets to bring together the delights I enjoyed.
There is a very good mix for Vegetarians and the meat eater and very pleasant combinations. The bubbling pizzas and scrumptious pastas to traditional bruschetta and classic tiramisu with a great selection-of wines and beers along with excellent service. I had a very pleasant evening here with family and friends and will make the effort to come here again when next in the area to see a play at one of the near by theaters.
I highly recommend this particular site as one of the best I’ve been to in the chain.

Read moreI visited this branch of Prezzo with my family ahead of going to the theatre. It had been a while since I last dined at Prezzo, but unfortunately this experience was very disappointing.
On the positive side, the service was as expected—polite and functional. However, the food and overall experience left much to be desired, especially given the high prices (which are understandable given the location, but should be matched by higher quality).
All four of our main dishes, as well as the starters, were very average at best. My sister’s chicken burger arrived cold, while both my mother’s and my pasta dishes were lukewarm. My girlfriend’s cannelloni was dry and underwhelming, and when we asked about it, staff explained it was pre-cooked and reheated in the oven, which unfortunately showed.
The seating also felt unnecessarily uncomfortable. Despite larger tables being available, we were seated at the smallest table for four, which left us cramped. We even had to ask for table ornaments to be removed to make space.
I should note that I did not raise these issues with staff at the time, so I cannot comment on how they might have responded. Still, given the combination of average food, poor temperature, and the price point, I left disappointed.
Sadly, this will be my last visit to Prezzo, and I would not recommend this particular branch, especially with so many better dining...
