Went to see “Why Am I So Single?”, which was amazing and this rating does not reflect the outstanding and funny performance Staff were also helpful and accommodating, once again, this review is not a reflection of them View was pretty good, despite being last row of the grand circle, slight restriction, but didn’t impact the performance However…the reason why I’m rating this theatre 3 stars is due to the ridiculous heat and stuffiness that was suffered throughout the show, due to lack of temperature and air flow control, especially considering it wasn’t even a hot day…Everyone around me was struggling, and had to resort to using programs as fans…saw a couple of people leaving which at a show, that is truly the last resort and shows how unbearable it was…even I thought I was on the verge of passing out or having a panic attack…as you can imagine, this made the experience quite bad and I almost hoped the show would end so I could leave…I understand that this is somewhat out of their control, but any measure that could be taken, should be taken and would be of great help in improving audience satisfaction… It would have to be a really good show that would make me return to...
Read moreGarrick Theatre is one of the most popular historic venues in central London, close to Trafalgar Square and the National Gallery. Like many Victorian era theatres, it is on the small side, so if you want to make a play or musical for a specific show you should reserve tickets well in advance. Its fairly intimate atmosphere guarantees that you will get a good view of the stage from most seats, unless you booked a seat behind one of the columns. The staff are usually friendly, and, as always, photography during the show is not allowed. The bar area is fairly spacious, but the drinks prices may make your eyes bleed. The seats are not the most comfortable, but unlike at some other historic venues, there's enough legroom between the rows! In the stalls, the rows ascend just a little, so if you happen to be sitting behind a very tall person, there goes your view. Toilet facilities are small indeed, and rather...
Read moreA vintage venue, am very sure at its prime, it was spectacular!
Spanning over 3 circles I believe, the chairs are comfortable and the stage is a good size though I have been to larger ones.
The box office staff were helpful and professional, the security did a great job and answered my questions with a smile on their face.
There were refreshments available during the interlude.. suggestions is to preorder yours before the show so collection will be smooth with minimal contact.
At the time of booking, I had a few issues with the timing and each time I rang the customer service, they were more than happy to change this for me which I found very helpful. Thank you so much for making my experience lovely though it rained 😊
2mins walk from Leicester Square station and loads of restaurants, cafes etc around 👌🏼
