"Good things come to those that bake" Who would have thought a musical about the Bake off would be so delightfully sweeet! I went to this show, on what thought was a recommendation from a friend, to realise I had dreamt that recommendation instead. Oh well...I was so pleasantly pleased it was uplifting, just what I needed, the songs are original and nicely moved the story along. They touch a little on emotional subjects such as loss and infertility...but not so much to bring you to tears. (But to be fair, I am dead inside) But great performances about friendship, crushes and of course cake. The ticket price were not unreasonable, I was in row N and got a good view of the stage. I felt there a little more leg room then other theatres and felt cleaner too. Just to note I am 5"2 so taller people might say otherwise. I wish there was somewhere to put your drink though. The bar outside, the cocktail choice was limited to just 2 and kinda small for a tenner and came from a bottle. I do recommend treating yourself to cupcake...which I ate two gigantic bites 😋 I went for unicorn one. This show finishes soon so I would be quick if going to you want to watch it. This definitely is a show you can get lost in for little while and embrace a happy place. Also you don't have to be a Bake off uber fan to enjoy it. I took some pictures at the end of the cast and band but not of the show to respect of...

My friend really wanted to see Dear Evan Hansen in person so I agreed to go because I've never seen a musical before.
I was really surprised by the production quality as the only really musical I've experienced before was my school play 😂.
We sat on the second row of the grand circle. We chose these seats because they were the cheapest ones available at £30 each. We thought the view would not be too good but it acc was very good. It was a little high up but it means you have a good view of everything. Obviously it wouldn't be the best seat in the theatre but I really can not complain and would choose those seats again without hesitation.
There is free water at the bar and there are toilets accessible. The show was split into two parts with a small break in between. I will not spoil the show but for a first musical it was brilliant and it even gave me goosebumps. It was one of the first things I did on this London trip and it was definitely a highlight.
Overall I would definitely recommend going here to see Dear Evan Hansen. I can't comment on other musicals as I have not seen them. Pick a spot with cheaper prices if you're broke like me, otherwise pick your seat and...
Read moreOne of my favourite West End theatres, but as with most of these beautiful venues, space (or lack of) is an issue if you are of a larger build.
On this occasion I was sat in Row C. I’m 5ft 1” and petite, but even for someone of my stature the seating space was just enough to accommodate me. Combined with being sandwiched between two larger patrons, my seating became rather snug!
I felt quite sorry for the gentleman sat to my left; as he was obviously embarrassed about how much space he was taking up. When he’d booked the tickets he’d been assured there was plenty of space and legroom - of which there was neither. I assured him that I was fine and told him not to worry.
On the other hand, the lady to my right not only thought it was ok to spread her elbows and legs into my already minuscule space - but on the floor she had also placed a couple of large shopping bags and her handbag, which she didn’t even attempt to move when people were trying to get past to reach their seats.
Personally I don’t think that more than one small bag should be allowed into a theatre - especially when space is so tight.
Despite the seating situation I thoroughly enjoyed the play,...
