I don't like to give a negative review but I feel I must. The drinks my friend and my self ordered were nice and reasonable in price but took longer to arrive than they should have, as the place was not busy. We walked in and on choosing our table we noticed that many had not been wiped clean. The one we chose, looked cleaner but we soon realised it was really sticky? There were hardly any customers but some were making such a racket and with the high ceiling, it echoes and as the staff made no attempt to ask them to quiten down, we moved to the outside area as we were waiting for another person to arrive and have a business meeting and I couldn't even hear myself talk when calling them to give directions. This was lunch time and I had booked a table. The outside area has heaters and it was a little chilly, we didn't really want to go outside but did so because of the noise inside. I switched on a heater, that was at the side of the table we had chosen,  but it went off almost instantly, so thinking it must be be faulty, we move again and guess what?  the same thing happened!!  Because it was chilly there were no other customers outside to ask about this. My friend and I timed that heater and a couple of others and they stayed on for between 13 and 30 seconds We could not believe it, I was about to go inside and ask a member of staff to help keep the heater on, when a young man came out to clean a table and he said that there's nothing the staff can do as an electrician fixes the timers on the heaters. Again we could not believe it !!! Heaters you have to keep pressing every 13/30 seconds. We decided to leave and on the way out also noticed how dirty the glass doors were between the outside and inside area. They had obviously not been cleaned that day and my friend and I are expert at judging this as we have done that job and know what a 2 day non- wiped dirty class door looks like.

Awful. Staff pratting about while I waited to be served at bar. Ordered the chicken tower sharer and after 25 minutes I saw one come out (on a plate, not a tower as advertised - see pic) and it was given to another table who only ordered 10 minutes ago. I waited another 10 minutes and then went to ask staff where my food was. First answer was, "45 minute waaait (rolleyes)". I said I had been waiting and I think another table got mine. They then said I had told them I was at a different side of the restaurant and I very much did not. I said, "I remembered pointing to the front in the sun and said there were no table numbers so I was given a spoon by you." I was told it would be ready soon. 20 minutes later the food came out. Everything was luke warm to cool which is surprising considering it was mostly deep fried. It was dry and the dips were not enough. Also we ordered cocktails and they were just poured out of a pre-mixed bottle on to a lot of ice and tasted terrible they can't even be bother to make fresh drinks. The bar staff messing about with each other the entire time. An entirely horrible experience. Plus point was that the girl bringing food out and cleaning tables was really nice and friendly. Avoid this one and go to the one at Piccadilly Gardens it's a hell of a lot better. I genuinely don't know how two restaurants in the same chain in the same city can be so different in standard.

Me and 5 of my friends came in for a bottomless brunch on Saturday evening, 7pm-9pm, for my 20th birthday. We paid £37.50 each, £5 deposit each when booking online. We were seated on a table at the back of the restaurant which was a shame as it felt like we were just seated out of the way right at the back. When I booked online I mentioned on the booking notes that 2 of my friends had nut allergies, 1 being extremely severe. Even though the staff were aware of this, when we arrived they had no allergy menu so one had to be printed out, this then delayed us ordering our drinks and food when our bottomless time had already been started. The waitress was lovely and we understood that this wasn’t her fault but someone should’ve been prepared. Also, I assume this was because it was a Saturday night, but getting drinks took a long long time. The drinks and food were nice. I enjoyed the bottomless brunch but next time I would probably visit a different Slug and Lettuce.
